"Aira, can you come with me?"

I got shocked and frustrated at the same time when he called me. I shot an annoyed look at eomma, but she signaled me to go and listen to him. Adjusting my scarf, I said in a firm voice, "You can come here and say whatever you want." He complied and moved to sit on the bar stool beside me, but I stopped him, saying, "Did I ask you to sit here?" The stool was uncomfortably close to me, and he hadn't even attempted to move it away. He gave me a questioning look, and I met his gaze head-on. "Please maintain a safe distance and move the stool a little," I insisted.

Ignoring my request, he asked, "Belle, Rohan told me that tomorrow is your result of final exams?" Without averting my eyes, I replied, "First of all, don't call me belle... And yes, tomorrow is my result. So what?" He smirked and said, "I'll go with you to take your result."

I made a fist ball and responded with a serious expression, "I have my own brother to go with me." He continued, "But tomorrow is Rohan's meeting."

With a stern tone, I interrupted him, "I have an elder sister too." He tried to argue, "But Ayez-" I cut him off, "Oppa, it's none of your business. Besides, I'm not in pre-primary class where my parents or a guardian must accompany me to take my result. I can go by myself. You can leave; I'm a little busy." With a gesture, I directed him to the door, signaling for him to leave the kitchen. Then, I returned to help eomma with cutting the veggies.

Author's POV

After dinner, as the relatives departed around 11 pm, everyone retired to their respective rooms, fatigued from the day's events. Mr. Fahad turned to his wife, Safia, inquiring, "Safia, have you managed to find a suitable match for Rohan yet? He's mature enough for marriage now.

Safia sighed, her expression reflecting the weight of the task at hand. "I've been searching diligently, but finding the right match isn't easy. We want someone who will not only be compatible with Rohan but also bring joy and harmony into our family. It's a process that requires patience, but I assure you, I'm doing my best."

Mr. Fahad nodded in understanding, his concern for Rohan evident in his eyes. "Take your time, Safia. Rohan's happiness is paramount to us. We want to see him settled with someone who will genuinely care for him and complement our family. Remember, prayer and trust in Allah's guidance are essential in this endeavor. He knows what's best for us."

Just then, Safia's thoughts drifted, prompting her to voice her thoughts, "What about Inaya? She's a good girl, and we've known her since she's your sister's daughter. I quite like her. What do you think? Is she a good match for Rohan?" Mr Fahad, considering Safia's question, paused for a moment, pondering the idea of Inaya as a potential match for Rohan. Inaya's qualities flashed through his mind-her kindness, intelligence, and the bond she shared with their family. Mr Fahad's gaze shifted to Safia, his expression thoughtful, "Inaya has many admirable qualities, and her connection to our family is undeniable. I believe she could be a good match for our Rohan, but ultimately, it's up to them to decide." Safia nodded, a hint of hope flickering in her eyes as she pondered the possibility of Inaya joining their family in a new capacity.

She nodded thoughtfully and replied, "Okay then, I'll talk to Rohan about this matter, and then we can ask Ruby for Inaya." Then, after some more talks, they both went to sleep.

THE NEXT DAY

(I recommend listening to 'Tu Jaane Na' for a deeply moving and sentimental experience." This song, sung by Atif Aslam, is known for its poignant lyrics and soulful melody, making it ideal for moments of reflection and emotion.)

At 9 pm, Aira was choosing her outfit for result day. She picked a green abaya and a black hijab, then put on her Gucci Flora perfume. Before leaving, she remembered she had to return someone's coat. She got the coat, put it in a bag, and went outside. It was Monday, so Rohan had left early for an important meeting at work. Ayeza had already gone to university by bus with her friends. Since Aira didn't have a car, she decided to use Ayeza's Tesla Model S to go to school.
