~ Part 14 ~

Aira was holding the tea in her hand to give to Umer, but he was busy on his phone and didn't even realize she was there. Mrs. Dawood noticed Aira standing silently and patted Umer's shoulder, saying, "Take a look, she's been standing there for ages to give you tea. Take it from her and turn that phone off."

Frustrated, Umer put his phone in his pocket and took the cup of tea without bothering to look at Aira. After spending some time together, they all had dinner. Following dinner, as they gathered in the drawing room, Mrs. Dawood asked Mrs. Fahad, "So, you have three siblings?"

Mrs. Fahad replied, "Yes, one oldest son, Rohan, then Ayeza, and lastly Aira." Aira listened quietly, sitting beside Ayeza and her mother, while Mrs. Dawood and the gents were on the opposite couch.

Mrs. Dawood then called Aira, "Aira, come sit with me." Aira went to her and sat down innocently. Mrs. Dawood placed her hands on Aira's shoulders and looked at her with admiring eyes, to which Aira smiled. Ayeza sensed that Mrs. Dawood liked Aira.

Mrs. Dawood asked, "Is Ayeza married?"

Ayeza looked at her mother and then lowered her head. Her mother replied, "Yes, she has been married for about a month."

"Oh, so she is newly married," Mrs. Dawood noted. Aira glanced at Ayeza with a pained look, knowing that despite the recent marriage, Ayeza had decided to take a divorce.

Mr. Fahad then asked, "And how many children do you have?"

Mrs. Dawood smiled and said, "I am blessed with two sons, Kim Tae-min and Kim Taehyung, who is two years younger."

Both Aira and Ayeza were confused about the non-Muslim names, so their mother asked, "I'm sorry, but isn't his name Umer?"

Mrs. Dawood clarified, "Oh no, my sons are Muslim, and those are the names I gave them. I call them by these names because I am Christian, but Dawood allowed me to choose their names. He chose their Muslim names, and while most people know them by their Muslim names, my family calls them by their Korean names."

She then asked, "If you don't mind, what's your name?"

Mrs. Dawood smiled and said, "My name is Kim Ji-so. And what's your name?"

Mrs. Fahad replied, "Safia... Safia Khan."

Meanwhile, Mr. Fahad asked Umer about his job and other things, but Umer answered without interest, distracted by his phone. After some conversation, everyone said their goodbyes and escorted the guests to the main gate.

As Aira and Ayeza went to their rooms, Mrs. Fahad was about to leave, but Mrs. Dawood stopped her and asked, "So, what's your answer?"

Mrs. Fahad smiled and said, "First, we have to ask Aira what she wants. Then I'll tell you the answer."

Mrs. Dawood smiled and said, "Take your time, Safia, but I'm hoping for a positive response."

With that, they left from there.

Aira's POV

I went into my room, changed into my comfy dress, and after praying Esha Salah, I was about to lay on my bed when I heard a knock on the door. I went to unlock it and saw Ayeza and Eomma standing there. At first, I was confused why they were at my room at this hour instead of sleeping in their rooms. They came in and sat on the bed. I asked in a confused voice, "What happened?"
