When they entered the house, they saw Ji-so and Ji-Woo sitting in the living room gossiping. As soon as Ji-so saw them, she asked, "Why were you so late?" Ahmed looked at Aira and replied, "Mom, traffic." Ji-so rolled her eyes and looked at Ji-Woo, saying, "Okay, now go to your room. We are also very tired."
Ji-so stood up and handed a gift bag to Aira, saying, "Here, take your wedding gift." Aira glanced at Ahmed before accepting the gift from Ji-so and said, "Thanks, mom" Ji-so didn't say anything and went to her room, while Ji-Woo lingered and remarked, "How lucky you are to come again to the same house where you were divorced once."
Aira's heart broke into pieces after hearing her harsh words, but Ahmed tightened his grip on her hand and said, "It's all about fate, Aunt." He said this seriously, then looked at Aira with a smile and said, "Come on, baby, let's go to our bedroom." She smiled back, and they were about to leave when Ahmed, boiling with anger at his mother and sister's behavior, stopped Aira. She looked at him with innocent eyes as he addressed Ji-Woo, who was still watching them.
"You must be tired, hmm? Let me take you to the room," Ahmed said, then scooped Aira up in a bridal style. Aira's eyes widened, and she whispered, "Ahmed, what are you doing? She is watching us."
"So, let her watch us," he replied, carrying her upstairs. As they ascended, Aira's eyes fell on the room next to Ahmed's, which was Umer's room. Memories flooded her mind-how she first saw Ahmed on her wedding night, how she used to live with Umer, and how he had given her the wedding gift. She placed her head in the crook of Ahmed's neck like a baby to avoid looking at Umer's room. Ahmed noticed her action and smiled, feeling her soft lips against his neck, which made his heartbeat quicken.
"Listen to 'Khuda Jaane' by K.K while reading for a better experience."
When they reached his room, he stood at the door and said, "We're here, baby." Aira looked at Ahmed and then at the room, her eyes widening in amazement at the beautiful decorations. "MashaAllah! This is so beautiful, Ahmed," she exclaimed, still in his arms.
He smiled and asked, "Do you want me to take you to the bed, or should I release you here?" She blushed and patted his chest to be put down. He gently set her on her feet, closed the door, and locked it. Aira began roaming around the room, admiring the decorations.
Ahmed walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear, "I wanted everything to be perfect for you."
Aira leaned back into him, feeling the warmth of his embrace, and said softly, "It's more than perfect, Ahmed. Thank you."
He turned her around to face him, lifting her chin with his fingers so their eyes met. "You deserve all the happiness in the world," he said tenderly. Then, without breaking eye contact, he leaned in and kissed her forehead gently, causing her to close her eyes and savor the moment.
Aira smiled and whispered, "I love you, Ahmed."
"I love you more," he replied, pulling her closer as they began their new journey together, surrounded by the beautiful decorations that symbolized their fresh start.
