(I recommend listening to "dancing with your ghost"' by Sasha Alex Sloan to capture the emotional and somber mood of this scene.).
When they reached Aira's home, Ahmed looked at her one last time, his heart heavy with unspoken emotions. Aira also looked at him, and for a brief moment, they both got lost in each other's gaze, a silent exchange of shared pain and understanding.
Their moment was broken as Ahmed stepped out of the car and walked around to open the door for Aira. She got out without looking back and entered her home, her steps slow and heavy.
As the door closed behind her, Ahmed stood there for a moment, feeling a tear escape and roll down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away, took a deep breath, and headed back to the hospital, the weight of the night's events settling heavily on his shoulders.
Aira's POV
As Aira entered the house, she saw her appa and eomma watching TV. She softly said, "Assalam o alaikum." They turned, shocked at her unexpected entry. Eomma quickly asked, "Aira? At this time? Did something happen? Where is Umer?"
Aira looked at her with a small smile and said, "Eomma... I'm free."
Appa's expression shifted to confusion and concern. He stood up and asked, "Free from what?"
Aira took a deep breath. "Umer divorced me."
Appa's face turned red with anger, and he took a step toward her. "What are you saying? How can I sit silent when my daughter is divorced, and she's smiling? This is not a time to smile, Aira!"
Eomma quickly intervened, holding his hand and gently urging him to calm down. "Stop, Fahad. I'll talk to her. Please, go to your room."
Appa looked at Eomma with frustration. "What are you talking about? How can I sit silently when she just told us she's divorced? And she's smiling? This is serious!"
Eomma's voice was calm but firm. "Please, Fahad. Let me handle this. She needs our support, not our anger."
Appa hesitated for a moment, his eyes darting between Eomma and me. Finally, he sighed heavily, gave me one last look, and turned to go to his room, mumbling under his breath. Eomma led me to the living room sofa, her eyes full of concern.
"Belle, tell me what happened," Eomma said softly, taking my hand in hers.
My smile faded, replaced by a look of relief mixed with sadness. "Eomma, it's been so hard. But now, I feel like a weight has been lifted. I know it sounds strange, but I believe this is the beginning of a new chapter for me."
Then appa again came at first he thought I was just joking but when it confirmed that I'm divorced for real he again came and started to shout at me and out of nowhere he held me from my hair and started to ghaseet and said,"you are not going to live in this house I'm telling you go where you want but never come in this house" Ayeza also came from her room and her eyes got shocked seeing the scene that is getting me out of the house and she also came and tried to stop appa but he didn't he was continuously shouting on me then Ayeza said, "appa leave her it's not her fault it was bilal planning why can't you see appa leave her she is innocent! " But then his phone rang and he released my hair and saw it was Ahmed. He then attend the call and went to the garden to talk. While I was crying as my head started to hurt because he held my hair so hard. And Ayeza and eomma came to me to comfort me and then they took me in my room.
