"Aira, what?" He stopped typing and focused on the call.

Zoya took a deep breath and said, "Ahmed, Aira is in a lot of distress. Her father is trying to force her into a marriage she doesn't want. She needs your help. She told me to tell you that she loves you and wants to be with you. She's willing to apologize for everything and just wants to be with you. She's desperate, Ahmed. Please, help her getting out of all this mess."

Zoya told him everything about what her cousin Bilal did to her and tried to harass her. Ahmed's heart sank as he listened to Zoya's words. His mind raced, unable to comprehend the gravity of the situation. But instead of believing her, a wave of disbelief and anger washed over him.

Ahmed's voice was sharp and cold as he snapped at Zoya, "Zoya, stop lying! I don't know what game you're playing. You know what, I loved Aira with all of my heart, but she never gave me a chance. It was all one-sided. She never loved me."

Zoya countered, "No, Ahmed, this was never one-sided from the start. Aira loved you, but she couldn't confess because of her purity and religious beliefs. She didn't want you to think badly of her."

Interrupting her, Ahmed cut in, "No, Zoya, I don't believe you. If Aira loved me, she would have said something. She would have given me a sign."

Zoya pleaded, "Ahmed, at least talk to her, hear her out before you make a decision."

But Ahmed couldn't bear to hear more. He ended the call abruptly, his frustration boiling over. Sitting alone in his office, he unbuttoned the first two buttons of his shirt and ran a hand through his hair, trying to make sense of the tumult of emotions swirling inside him.

Just after Ahmed cut the call, Zoya immediately dialed Aira's number.

Zoya's voice quivered with sadness as she spoke to Aira, "Assalamualaikum, Belle, I got Ahmed's number from Ali."

"Did you talk to him? Did you tell him about me?" Aira's voice was tinged with anticipation.

Zoya hesitated for a moment before responding, "Aira... I did tell him everything. But he didn't believe me. He thought I was lying and ended the call."

Aira's heart sank as she collapsed, sitting on the ground. "No... give me his number. I'll talk to him myself. He'll believe me. I know he still loves me, even if he doesn't admit it."

"Belle, I don't think he's going to listen to you. He's in so much pain, he's not ready to accept his feelings for you," Zoya said softly, trying to console her.

"Zoya, I said give me his number. He'll listen to me," Aira insisted urgently.

Zoya said, "I know you're hurting, but I just wanted to say that I understand how you feel. I'm here for you, no matter what."

Aira sniffled, grateful for Zoya's support. "Thank you, Zoya. I appreciate it more than you know."

Zoya sighed softly before saying, "Take care of yourself, Aira. And remember, Allah is always there for you."

With those words of comfort, Zoya ended the call, hoping that Aira would find solace in her faith and the support of her loved ones. With a heavy sigh, She acquiesced, knowing deep down that it might be in vain. She sent Aira Ahmed's number, hoping against hope that somehow, things would work out for her friend.

It was Asr time, So Aira decided to first offer her Salah before calling Ahmed. She performed ablution, spread her prayer mat, and began her Salah with the takbir, saying "Allahu Akbar." After completing her Salah, she raised her hands for dua and said,

"Ya Allah, Al Rahman Al Raheem, I trust in Your mercy and compassion. Please forgive me, for I am in a difficult situation. I cannot marry someone whom I do not love. Ya Ilahi, I have no other choice but to convince Ahmed of my feelings. Please soften his heart towards me. I know deep down, he still loves me. Ya Allah, ease his heart and help him accept his feelings for me. I promise not to go against the teachings of Islam. I will never exceed my limits. But please, Ya Rab, I need to speak to him. Please forgive me and guide me through this."
