Jungkook's Pov

"Hyung, where did she go?" I asked, my voice trembling with panic. "Did he... N-no I —""Jungkook, don't start thinking the worst," Hyung interrupted, trying to calm me down. "She will be fine. She's a strong woman. Don't worry."

He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder, his eyes full of confidence. I tried to take a deep breath, clinging to his words, hoping that he was right and that she really would be okay.

He then looked down the narrow alleyway, squinting into the shadows before stepping forward. "Come on, let's see if we can find any clues about where she went," he said, motioning for me to follow. I nodded and trailed behind him.

The alley wasn't very long, but it was shrouded in darkness, making it hard to see anything clearly. We moved cautiously, our eyes straining to catch any hint or sign that might lead us to her. The air was thick and still, and each step echoed softly against the close, silent walls.

Soon, we reached the end of the narrow alley and found ourselves standing in front of a single door. A sign hung on it, reading "Private Property." We exchanged puzzled looks, unsure if we had the right place since this was the only door in the entire alley. Despite our uncertainty, we decided to give it a try and see if Y/n was here.

We knocked on the door and waited for five minutes, but there was no answer. We knocked again, waiting another five minutes, but still, there was no response. On our third attempt, just as we were about to give up, we heard a faint noise coming from inside. Moments later, the door creaked open, revealing an old lady standing in the doorway.

She looked at us, clearly confused, and asked in Korean, "Ne, who are you?". Because we were wearing masks and had our heads covered, she couldn't recognize us. We bowed politely and asked her, "Grandma, did any girl named Y/n come here? We just saw her going into this alley, and this is the only place she could be."

She looked at us suspiciously and then asked, "Who are you both to her?". We glanced at each other quickly, deciding to stretch the truth a little.

"We are her friends," I began, trying to sound confident. "We came here because we were really worried about her. When we tried to call her, she didn't answer, and we started to panic. We checked her phone's last known location, and it led us here. So, we thought she might have come to your house for some reason. We're really just trying to make sure she's okay."

I hoped our story sounded convincing enough, as we watched her reaction closely.

She shook her head firmly, her expression unchanging. "There is no girl named Y/n who came into my house. You should report her to the police, and now, please don't disturb me." With that, she shut the door in our faces.

We sighed in unison, feeling a mix of disappointment and frustration. I turned to hyung, my voice laced with worry. "Now what, hyung? Where do you think she could have gone? There's no other place to hide in this alley," I said, my frustration boiling over as I kicked a nearby trash can. The metallic clang echoed in the narrow space, but it did little to alleviate the growing sense of helplessness inside me.

I glanced over at Hyung, who was deep in thought, his brow furrowed. I called out to him, "Hyung?"

He snapped out of his reverie and looked at me with wide eyes. "See, my theories might be wrong, but there could be two possible reasons why she isn't here. First, she might have never been here at all—it could just be our imagination. And second, maybe she traveled to another place through a portal."

I gave him a look that clearly said, 'Are you serious, Hyung?' Neither of his theories made any sense to me. I sighed and said, "Hyung, you should stop watching Doctor Strange movies. They're making you believe in impossible things."
