"No, Y/N!!!" I screamed, my voice cracking as I sprinted toward the edge of the cliff, watching helplessly as her hand vanished into the bubbling, fiery lava below. "No!" Tears streamed down my face, hot and stinging, fueled by the unbearable pain in my chest.
My heart felt like it was shattering. Without thinking, I turned and charged at Karan, who stood smugly nearby, his eyes gleaming with cruel satisfaction. "You monster! You killed her! How could you do this?!" I shouted, my voice trembling with rage. "I swear, I'm going to make you pay for this!"
I swung my fist with all the force I could muster, landing a hard punch in his face. Blood oozed from his lips, and for a brief moment, I thought I had actually hurt him. But then he wiped the blood away and laughed—a deep, mocking laugh that chilled me to the bone.
"Stupid human," he sneered, touching the blood on his lip like it was nothing. "Do you really think you can defeat me with your pathetic strength? Me? The one who holds almost every power in this world?"
His voice dripped with arrogance, and his laughter grew louder, more sinister. "You think it's going to be that easy to kill me?"
His words hit me like a punch to the gut, but I refused to back down.
"I didn't kill Y/N," he continued, his eyes narrowing with dark intent. "No, I offered her as a sacrifice to the fire god. Once the god is freed, he'll bless me with his fire magic, and I'll become the most powerful man ever to exist!"
As if on cue, the sky began to change. The soft blue faded, replaced by an ominous orange glow that bathed everything in a fiery light. Karan's face lit up with an evil grin, his eyes gleaming as he looked toward the sky. "It's happening," he whispered with twisted delight.
Without warning, he stretched out his hand, and before I could react, an invisible force slammed into me, throwing me backwards with brutal force. I crashed to the ground, gasping for breath, as my hyungs rushed to help me up. Just as they prepared to charge at Karan, a shimmering shield formed around us, trapping us all in one place.
"Stay there, you pathetic little group," he hissed. "You won't be interrupting me now."
Karan began chanting in a strange, ancient language, his voice rising and falling in a rhythmic pattern. The ground beneath us trembled violently, shaking like it might split open.
Then, a deafening roar echoed from deep within the earth. Before any of us could even process what was happening, something enormous erupted from the lava pit. It spiralled upward, curling around the sun in a display of terrifying beauty.

It was a dragon—gigantic, radiant, and covered in glowing flames. Its serpentine body shimmered with fiery patterns, flames swirling and flickering around it like a living furnace. The heat radiating from it was overwhelming.
The dragon twisted and swirled around the bright sun, casting huge shadows over the land. Karan stood beneath it, a smug grin stretched across his face. "Oh great Lord Dragon," he said, his voice dripping with pride.
"I am the one who freed you, the one who restored your powers, so..." He paused, glancing up at the swirling beast above him. With a confident smirk, he continued, "Will you be kind enough to reward me with some of your power?"
The dragon let out a deep, rumbling groan before diving toward the ground. When it landed, the impact sent a cloud of dust swirling into the air, blinding us for a moment.
I squinted, struggling to see through the haze, and when the dust finally settled, my heart nearly stopped. Standing before us wasn't the dragon anymore—it was Y/n.
"Y/n?" I whispered, hardly believing my eyes. She was alive, but something was wrong. Her hair had turned a fiery orange, her eyes blazed with the same intensity and the way she carried herself... it wasn't the Y/n we once knew. There was an unsettling energy around her.
"Karan?" Y/n growled, her voice unrecognizable, deeper and filled with fury. "You're the one who freed me?" Her voice boomed as she pointed a finger at him. Karan, suddenly unsure of himself, nodded with fear in his eyes. "By sacrificing this child?" she roared even louder, her voice echoing in the air. Karan gulped and nodded again, visibly shaking.
Y/n's expression twisted into something far more terrifying. "Because of your foolishness, this world will be destroyed again! And the destruction starts with you dying!" she bellowed, her body glowing brighter as she transformed back into the fierce dragon.
The ground trembled as the dragon lifted into the air, its massive form blocking out the sky. Karan, now panicking, tried to use the powers he had stolen, but nothing worked. The dragon closed in on him, forcing him to the edge of the pit, its fiery eyes locked on him.
With a final roar, the dragon lunged, shoving Karan into the lava below. His screams filled the air "AHHHHH!" and then there was silence.
As soon as Karan's scream faded, the magical shield that had trapped us shattered. We were free, but the devastation left by Y/n's transformation was overwhelming.
The ground burned, the heat searing our skin. "We have to calm her down!" I yelled to the others, my voice barely audible over the crackling flames.
"But how?" Hoseok Hyung asked, panic creeping into his voice.
Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward, trying to ignore the burning heat. "By calling out to her... calling out to Y/n," I said, my heart pounding.
They all looked at me with confusion, but I shouted with all my strength, "Y/n! Y/n, my love, please stop this! Please, baby, listen to me! I love you! Stop this destruction!"
The dragon, which had been raining fire upon the land, suddenly paused. Its fiery eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, time seemed to freeze. Then, to my shock, the dragon lunged straight at me. My hyungs shouted in panic, "Jungkook, MOVE! RUN! GET OUT OF THERE!"
But I didn't move. I stood my ground, looking straight into the dragon's eyes as it flew towards me. Just before its enormous form could touch me, it stopped. We stared at each other, our gazes locked. Tears welled up in my eyes, and to my surprise, I saw tears in hers as well. The only difference was that I was human... and she had become a dragon.
