Luz leaned her head against the backseat window. She looked at all the buildings, all the people, all the things in the place she despises. New York City. Has she ever been here before? Not many times. Has she ever had a bad experience here before? No. Was the person that killed her mom from here? Yes, and that's all it took for this place to lose its appeal. The person driving her to her location couldn't stop looking in the rearview mirror.

"Hey, how about some ice cream?" She asked.

Luz just kept looking out the window. The driver sighed.

"Luz, I know how you feel." She said, "You're upset, you don't know how to process everything. But you don't need to keep your emotions bottled up. You have me, you have your grandparents, you have your Aunt Edalyn."

"Aunt Lily... you're going to catch him... right?" Luz asked.

Lilith felt bad, it was the only words Luz said the entire hour and a half drive.

"I promise, Luz, I will find him." Lilith said, "Not just for you, but for me as well... that bastard killed my sister. I won't let him walk these streets for long."

Soon, Lilith pulled into a parking space on the side of the road. She got out of the car and help grab Luz's bags.

"Well, here we are, Edalyn's café." Lilith said, "Still can't get over that name."

"The Owl House Café?" Luz said, "She always did have a thing for owls, didn't she?"

"That she does." Lilith said, with a small smile.

A brief memory came up from when they were kids. Camila, Lilith, and Eda climbed up into the attic of their old Queens home. To say it was a surprise that Eda had a full Owl Sancturary, would be an understatement. There was twenty owls, some even had eggs. How she got them, Lilith still doesn't have a clue. What she does know, is that Eda was crazy, and she still is. They entered and were greeted by Eda.

"Hey, Kid, welcome to my café." Eda said, "Why don't you head up to the apartment and get settled in, while I speak with Lily."

Luz nodded and headed upstairs. When she was out of sight, Eda turned to Lilith.

"You are going to find this bastard, or I will." Eda said.

"Edalyn, you can't-"

"That was our sister, Lilith!" Eda said, "The day she was adopted we promised to make her feel welcomed, to make sure she was never hurt, we failed, and I won't allow that person to walk the streets!"

"And what happens if innocent people get in the way!?" Lilith asked, "What happens if you get caught again!? What happens if you hurt Luz like you did dad!?"

Lilith froze after she realized what she said.

"Edalyn... I-I-I didn't-"

"Don't you have a case to solve... Detective."

Eda turned away and headed up the stairs to help Luz. She stopped by her bedroom and reached into her closet. She pulled out a helmet and looked at it.

'No... The Prowler isn't coming back... not yet.'
