In another part of the city, Odalia was happily walking up to Alador.

"Great news, Alador, Edric has been accepted into a scholarship program at a very good medical college out of state." Odalia said, "I guess my talk with him has helped immensely."

"Yes, it would seem so." Alador said, working on the arms.

'Thank you, god. I hope Edric feels better soon.' Alador thought with a smile.

He might not show it while he works but he was ecstatic that Edric got out of his funk and could continue with his dream of helping others.

"How is your project going dear?" Odalia asked.

"They're coming a long quite well. Just a few more adjustments and we can call this finished." Alador said with a smile, stopping his work and pushing up his goggles. "This will help an unbelievable amount... this will allow me to continue my work."

'And allow me to finally achieve my goal.' Odalia thought.

Alador grabbed his cane and took a step back, admiring his work, the arms will be the reason he can move before his arthritis puts him in a wheelchair.

'Soon. Soon, this will be a thing of the past.' He thought.

"Have you been to the hospital lately? To check in Amity's condition." Alador said to his wife.

"Yes, it's not looking good." Odalia said, "Doctors say she may not wake up for a long time."

'And that doesn't work out for any of us in the long run.' Odalia thought with a frown.

She needed Amity awake in order to get the final piece in her plan, without it, then everything she's done will have meant nothing.

"That's a horrible thought." Alador said, "We need to keep faith that Amity will wake up."

"Agreed." Odalia said with a nod.

'But if faith is useless, I'll take matters into my own hands.' Odalia thought.

Odalia already has an idea, but she would need to visit an old experiment. Odalia left Alador and went to the secret lab of hers, pulling out a vial of some kind of green liquid droplets along with a file. On it was big red letters saying "CANCELLED" right over the words Regenerative Cross Selection, or as the lead scientist called it, the Lizard Project.

"Shame you had to steal the experiment and ran, and even worse that you destroyed all remaining notes of it." Odalia said, "But don't worry, I should be able to figure it out from the remnants of the original serum."

Odalia looked at the old vial.

'If only I knew where you took the experiment... it would make this much easier.' Odalia thought, 'Oh well, guess I'll never know.'
