Louis' POV
Atlanta, Georgia
3:00 PM
"Yoo-hoo! We're in the capital of Georgia, Atlanta," Allie said excitedly.
"Looks like zombies are welcoming you!" I said, kidding aside.
"So what's your plan after we get to your boyfriend's house?" Maggie asked.
"The plan will continue after I meet my boyfriend. I hope he survived. I still remember his smell, his favorite cardigan, and the way he loved and cared for me," Allie reminisced about her boyfriend.
After some time...
"No way!" Allie looked upset as the car suddenly stopped and she get out to see what is going on.
"What happened?" Maggie asked.
"Well, we got a flat tire!" Allie said, annoyed.
"It can be fixed, but it will take a day and we don't have a spare tire," I said.
"Are we leaving this car or finding a new one?" Maggie asked.
"Maybe not, but I saw a shop nearby. I hope they can help," Allie responded.
We all got out of the car and walked toward the shop nearby.
Coffee Shop
"Sure, I can help you," the shopkeeper said, and he started to fix our flat tire outside.
"Unbelievable, there's still a coffee shop nowadays after the zombie outbreak," I said, confused.
"Yeah, but at least my fancy car will be fixed soon!" Allie said.
We observed a suspicious customer in the shop. We tried to approach him, but he quickly grabbed his gun and pointed it at us.
"Who are you?" the man asked, pointing the gun at us.
Then Allie recognized him...
"Wait, is that you, Trevor?" Allie asked.
"Allie? Long time no see. I'm glad you're surviving!" Trevor said and hugged Allie.
"Guys, this is Trevor, Duke's best friend," Allie introduced him to us.
"Hi, glad to see human beings. Sorry about earlier, I just can't trust people nowadays," Trevor apologized.
"It's fine, we understand," Maggie said.
"So, maybe I know why you're here, especially Allie," Trevor said, looking at Allie.
"Yeah, I wanted to see Duke," Allie said softly.
"Well, the last time I contacted Duke was a week ago. I've been trying to reach him again, but I can't get through," Trevor informed us.
"Is he at their family house or something?" Allie asked.
"Allie, I'm sorry, but that street heading to their house is now full of zombies. I went there yesterday," Trevor said.
"No, don't tell me..." Allie looked tearful.
"I'm not sure yet, but the last thing Duke said was that he would surprise his mom at the train station here in Atlanta," Trevor informed us.
"Oh my god, maybe they're still at the train station. I want to know what really happened to him," Allie said, being optimistic.
Unexpectedly, we heard several gunshots.
We looked out the window and saw the shopkeeper had been shot dead. Immediately, the criminals who passed by stole the fancy car.
"No way, my fancy car is gone!" Allie said.
