When Erica woke up she had a splittng headache. Underneath her ws cold black gravel and her hands were tied together behind a pole. Far away she saw someone sitting in a chair; it looked as though it were Josh. "Josh" she whispered softly because she was too afraid to scream. Coming up behind her was someone in a black ski mask, but she couldn't make out who it was. "Josh" she whispered again, a little louder this time. Her voice was weak and her throat ached. The man in the mask turned around.

"Quiet!" he yelled. Erica couldn't tell who the voice belonged to. The mysterious man turned around asnd shot a look at Erica. Her breath caught in her chest. It was those eyes. Those brown eyes. He walked over to Erica. "I'm going to make you suffer, just like you made me suffer."

Erica had little strength, but she mustered up the words "Who are you?"

"No one." the man responded

"What do you want?" her voice was weak

"I told you, I want you to suffer." He walked away-back to Josh. Erica had no more strength to respond. Her eyes shut.

"AH!" Josh groaned in pain. Erica's eyes shot open.

"JOSH!!" Her eyes teared. The man was hitting Josh in the back of the neck with a metal pole. "STOP! PLEASE! DON'T HURT HIM!" He hit Josh in the stomach. She struggled to find the knot on the rope tieing her hands together. It took a few minutes but she eventually found it. As she tried to subtley untie the knot, the man was beating up Josh even more. Josh struggled to get loose because he would beat the shit out of this guy if he could but he couldn't get out. Erica eventually succeeded however and ran over and hit the guy in the back. Josh knew how much Erica can beat the shit out of someone when she was pissed off so he just relaxed, well as much as he could anyway.

Even though Erica was weaker then she's been, she was still able to hurt this guy. Within minutes he was on the floor and Josh was free. Erica kissed Josh multiple times. He groaned from the pain. "Baby, I'm so sorry. I never wanted you to get hurt." Erica said gentley resting her head on him hardly applying any pressure. He groaned again. She took her head off.

"It's okay babe. It's not your fault, but who was that?"

"I don't know." As soon as Erica turned around to take off the ski mask, the man was gone. "Dammit."

"It's okay." He winced.

"Come on baby, we have to get you to a hospital. I'll call my dad and your mom."

"Okay baby."

"Sit down though" Josh did as he was told as Erica called her dad and Josh's mom to tell them what happened. Her dad was on his way  to pick them up and drive Josh to the hospital so Erica could describe what she remembered from the man. "My dad is on his way now and your mom will meet us at the hosptial."

"Okay, how far are we from your house?"

"Only a couple of blocks baby. Can you wait?"

"I think so."

Erica stood closer to the street waiting for her dad but kept an eye on Josh. As soon as her dad pulled up, Josh started to cough up blood. "DAD! JOSH!"

"What happened?" he asked

"Someone hit us over the head when we went for a walk and they hit Josh with a metal pole on the back of his neck and in his stomach."

"Do you know what he looked like?

"He was wearing a ski mask but he was about my skin color, around five foot six and had dark brown eyes."

"Okay, I'll see what I can do, but right now, we have to get Josh to the hospital." He picked up Josh and carried him to the car. Josh groaned in pain as he stood up.
