"No." Erica commened. "Jaclyn's not gay."

"Then how else do you explain it?" asked Mark.

"I-I don't know, but I  know she's not gay. I'm going to talk to her next period."

"What are you going to do? Randomly walk up to her and ask if she's gay?" John laughed

"Haha no. Josh and I are asking her who she meant when she told me that she like's someone else."

"Okay, well here's your chance." Isabella said as the bell rang. Her and Erica walked to seventh period and met up with Josh.

"Ready?" he asked

"Let's do it." Erica answerd. They saw Jaclyn sitting down in her seat, so they walked over. "Jaclyn can I- uh we ask you something?"

"Yeah sure."

"Who did you mean when you told me that you love someone else? That it's not Michael or Josh?"

"Why would I asnwer that?"

"Because you have people thinking that your gay for me."

"Oh well I'm not."

"Then who did you mean?" Josh pressed

"If it'll get you two off my back, it's Alex."

Josh and Erica stood there, speechless. They didn't know how to react, so they just turned around and sat down.

***********

After nonth period, Josh and Erica walked back to Erica's house and talked to her dd. "Hey dad." Erica said opening the door.

"Hey."

"Josh is here."

"Hello Josh." answered her dad as they walked into the living room.

"Hello. Did you get the lie dector?" asked Josh

"Yes I did. It's right here." he said pointing to the machine next to him on the coffee table.

"Okay, good." commented Erica

"What time is he coming?"

"Three."

"That's five minutes ago." Josh said

"He should be here soon then."

"We need to figure this out, Erica."

"I know, I know. We need Michael though." Just then they heard the doorbell. "Ask and you shall receive." Erica laughed and opened the door. "Hi Michael."

"Hi. So I was told that we were doing a lie dector test."

"Yeah. I'm Erica's father. Sit right here Michael."

"Fine." Michael walked over and sat on the chair next to the table.

"We're going to ask you a couple of questions that we want to know the answers to and you're just going to anwser them."

"Sounds easy enough."

Erica's dad hooked Michael up to the machine and told them that it was ready. "Okay, Michael, did you ever send a threatning text to Erica about hurting me or her?" asked Josh

"No."

"Did you ever say that you would make me regret dating Josh?"

"No."

"Do you have Erica's number?"

"No."

"did you ever have it?"
