Winter break was going quick. Josh and Erica spent most of their time together so Erica wouldn't be alone while her parents were working all day. They went to the movies with friends and hung out at Josh's. Today was New Year's Eve and Erica was invited to spend it at Josh's so she could meet his family like he met hers on Thanksgiving. He wanted her there early so they could hang out, just the two of them before everyone else came. She arrived around three.
"Hey baby." he said when he opened the door.
"Hey." she said kissing him.
"I see your wearing the earrings."
"Yes. And I found a gold necklace to go with it for now."
"Well you look beautiful."
"Thank you. You look very nice yourself."
"Thanks. I'm saving the jersey to wear the first day back to school."
"Okay."
She said hi to his parents and sister and went upstairs with him. When they got to his room, she sat down and he came up next to her and kisses her neck. She giggled and he placed his hand on her back.
"So what do you want to do?" he asked
"I don't care. It's your choice."
"Want to go for a walk?"
"It like twenty-five degrees out."
"I don't care. I can't be alone with you anywhere else. And I'll hold you close to keep you warm."
"And what if we run into Michael?"
"I'll deal with it then. You saw the other day that I'm strong enough to handle him."
"Okay, let's go then."
Josh grabbed their coats and they went outside. As long as they were back by nine-thirty, his mom didn't care where they went. They started walking anywhere. They went to the village and got some ice cream. That's when they ran into Michael.
"Hi Josh." he said, annoyed. All Erica thought was 'oh great. He's going to start a scene right here.' But he did more than that. He walked straight past Josh and right to Erica pulling her away from Josh. He pulled her in and before she knew what was happening she felt his lips on hers. It was cold and no emotion. As fast as it started Erica pulled away from him. She punched him in the stomach, kicked him between the legs and punched him in the face. His nose started bleeding and he fell to his knees. Josh came over and kicked him in his stomach.
"What the fuck are you thinking?!" Erica shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Dude are you fucking kidding me?!" Josh was infuriated. "I told you, Erica is MY girlfriend and she's not your's. Keep your fucking hands off of her."
"It's never going to happen Michael." Erica said. "Get over it."
"I just wanted to know what it was like. To kiss you." Michael said still on the floor.
"That's no excuse. I don't care what you wanted. I'm with Josh. Get a life and get over it." Erica yelled. She looked at Josh. He nodded his head, motioning them to leave.
"Remind me to never piss you off." he said once they started walking.
"Oh please, I couldn't take you. I've felt and seen how strong you are."
"Your pretty damn strong yourself. You punched him pretty hard to make his nose bleed and didn't even flinch."
"True but still. I get pretty fucking pissed when someone kisses me infront of my boyfriend when that person knows I'm dating."
