After Josh had dropped off Isabella and Erica at Isabella's, he went home as the two girls ate dinner.
"I'll see you tomorrow in English." Josh said to Erica as he left.
"I'll be there." she said in return. Isabella just smiled and said bye.
When they all finished eating, Erica and Isabella went up to Isabella's room.
"Josh texted me." Isabella said. "He's home."
"He texted me too." Erica answered. "Did you ever text Justin?"
"No not yet."
"What are you waiting for? Christmas?"
"No. I don't know. Why do you want me to text him so badly?"Because I want you to be happy. So text him."
"But what if he thinks I'm annoying?"
"He won't just text him."
"Okay okay I will. So why does Josh want me to?"
"Oh c'mon you can't tell me that you don't want to talk to him."
"I do but I don't want to be pushy."
"You aren't. Just trust me. I trusted you and look what happened."
"Okay I'll text him." While she texted him, she said "And yeah I did see what happened. What was that? He looked like he was about to kiss you when he wouldn't tell us why he was fidgeting. He got closer and closer to you and then suddenly broke eye contact."
"I know! I was like oh my god. I couldn't breathe when he got closer. And then he just turns and breaks eye contact? Like what the fuck?"
"I know right? I was smiling when he leaned in and then I tried to get him back but he wanted to change the topic."
"Maybe he'll get another chance." Erica smiled hoping he would.
"True." Isabella's phone lit up. "It's Justin. He answered."
"Good. Now talk to him."
"He asked me if I was free this weekend." Isabella was overjoyed.
"Tell him yes! Do it! Now!"
"Okay calm down." Isabella said trying to calm her own excitement.
"What did he say?"
"He wants to hang out."
"Where?"
"Here."
"Say yes!"
"I did. I'm so happy."
"I can see that. I'm happy for you. It's been a while."
"Thanks."
"For what?"
"For telling me to text him."
"You would have eventually. I just made it happen sooner."
"This is true. Why am I thanking you?"
"Because you love me."
"Says you."
"Wow thanks."
"No problem." Isabella said with a grin.
"Feeling the love here."
"Good."
"So you and Justin are hanging here this weekend?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"So I can keep an eye on you two."
