It's been two weeks and today was the day Erica and Josh dock out of Manhattan for their cruise. Erica, of course, told Josh about the text she received from Jaclyn, but nothing happened. They didn't even know what it meant. Keep what in mind? They haven't tried anything with Michael lately either and they weren't going to worry about it this week. This was the week of freedom. No drama, no threats and best of all, no Michael. This week was going to be perfect. The eight of them boarded the boat at noon and they docked out at one. This gave them some time to check around the boat. They were on the Norwegian Cruise Line and the boat was the Jewel. On their excursions, they were parasailing, spending time in the Bahamas and doing the Kennedy Space Center Tour in Florida. All meals were inclusive except for a couple of the resturants. Erica, Josh, Sylvia, and Sylvia's biyfriend Sean were aloud to roam the boat as they pleased. All they had to do was meet up with the parents at the resturant they said for dinner and to not go in the rooms alone. Other then that, they could do what they wanted. All four sts of people got a walkie talkie so the parents could keep in touch with the kids. Erica an Josh had one, Sylvia and Sean had one, Josh's parents had one and Erica's parents had one. All four parents planned to send most of their time together, so having two was for precautions incase one died or someone had to leave.
All eight of them stayed together before they docked out so they could all see the boat at once. It was nice size. It had twelve floors and a thirteenth exclusive for staff members. Their rooms were on the ninth floor which is a floor above the main buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You could go in whenever and they have everything. All of them were pretty hungry so they went in to have some lunch. It was delicious. Once they finished eating, the boat docked out and they went up to the deck because they were going to pass the Statue of Liberty and they all wanted a picture. When they got out, it would take about twenty minutes until they ould get a good shot. So they sat on the deck and waited. While they sat there, the parents asked Josh and Erica many questions. More Erica's parents then Josh's. "So, Josh, what sports do you do?" Erica's dad started.
"I play football baseball, and I do wrestling. But my favorite is baseball."
"Got a favorite team?"
"Obviously a New York team but it's definatley the Yankees not the Mets." Josh said with a laugh
"I knew there was something I liked about you."
"Erica, are you excited for high school?" Lori asked her.
"Definatley. I just hope I can get some classes with Josh so I can see him."
"Even if you don't, we'll see eachother all the time." Josh put his arm around Erica. She smiled and he kissed her cheek. Erica was happy that her and Josh could kiss and her dad wouldn't flip. He likes Josh and knows that he wouldn't hurt her otherwise she woudn't be there right now.
"Good." Right then, they were passing the Statue of Liberty, so they all got a picture. Sylvia and Sean went first. Sean was alot taller than Sylvia but he still put his arm around her waist. Next was Josh and Erica. Josh wrapped both his arms around Erica and she leaned in and kissed him. "Aw." they all said. Her dad took the photo on his phone and Erica's. Erica set it as her new background. It was a great picture. The lighting was perfect and ad you saw a smile on both of them through the kiss. Since there was no service at sea, Erica couldn't send the pic to Josh so she would have to wait two days until their first port. Next for the picture was Erica's parents then Josh's.
It took about an hour for them to get farther out into the ocean and once they did, the four "kids" roamed the boat and left their parents on the dock to talk. Sean and Sylvia went off alone somewhere and Josh and Erica walked on the deck that circled the boat. Their parents said to meet them at six thirty at the Abura resturant for dinner. Right now it was two thirty so they had four hours to themselves.
