Love, Boys, and Jealousy: A Typical Romance

Chapter 5

It was a long Friday, but the long-awaited Saturday has finally come. All Erica could think about when she woke up is why would Michael hit Josh? It was all still so fuzzy to her. Josh told her about that night when he got home abd came to school the next day with a black eye. Michael still looked upset and hurt but didn't care the slightest that he hurt Josh physically because he hurt him emtionally. She shook the thought from her head. 'This is going to be a fun day. Firget about Michael. You're with Josh. Michael's hurt and that's his own problem. He shouldn't have hurt Josh. He had no reason to. No stop it. This is our day. We're all amhanging out and going to have a good time.' She kept telling herself that over and over as she got ready to leave and made her way to Isabella's. Soon Cody, Justin and Josh would be there. Isabella's mom was meeting the guys for the first time today. This was going to be a fun day.

She reached her destination still rattled with thoughts. When Isabella opened the door the thoughts left and all she thought about was Josh and the day awaiting them. The first people there were Cidy and Justin. Josh arrived a few minutes after. Justin arrives to Isabella's house with flowers. Today was her birthday. Inside the flowers was a little note that read:

"Dear Bella, 

You are special. You are mine. I am yours. Happy birthday 

Love Justin"

After Isabella read the note she turned to hug Justin but he stops her and holds up a small white box blocking her. Inside is a silver double heart necklace. Justin carefully placed the necklace around Isabella's neck and as he comes back he whispers in her ear 'Happy birthday' and kisses her cheek. As he does this, a tear slides down her face.

"What's wrong?" Justin asked curiously. 

"Nothing." Isabella said fighting thriugh the tears. "This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you. I love you." 

"Your welcome. I love you too." 

"Aw." Erica said smiling. 

"C'mon Justin, you're making me look bad." Josh said joking. 

"You could never look bad." Erica said hugging him as he kissed her forehead. 

"Thanks." 

"Your welcome. Happy birthday Isabella." Erica walked over and hugged her best friend. 

"Thank girl." 

"Wait. It's your birthday?" Cody asked sarcastically. 

""You're quick." said Justin. 

"Haha very funny. Shut up."  

"Ding ding. Back to your corners." said Erica as Isabella's mom walked in. 

"Okay who's who?" she asked. 

"Cody." 

"Justin." 

"Josh." The three guys said. 

"So your Justin?" asked Mrs. Hollow. 

"Yes I am. The one and only." 

"It's nice to meet you." 

"You too." 

"Can I get you guys anything?" Isabella looked around the room. Everyone was shaking their heads. 

"I think were good for now. Thanks mom." she said. 

"Okay. I'll be downstairs. Nice to meet you all." 

"Nice to meet you." the guys all said in unison.

They were all upstairs in Isabella's spare room talking and hanging out. There was alot of laughing, smiling, hugging and kissing especially between Isabella and Justin. Erica was so happy that everyone got along so well. They told eachother everything and always had a fun time together.
