After two wonderful years of dating, Alejandro knew that Lori-Anne was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He wanted his proposal to be meaningful and special, so he decided to ask Austin for his blessing.
One sunny afternoon, Alejandro took Austin out for lunch at a cozy, rustic restaurant in town. Over a delicious meal, Alejandro took a deep breath and spoke from his heart.
“Austin, I love Lori-Anne more than words can express. I want to ask for your blessing to marry her.”
Austin studied Alejandro, his eyes warm. “Alejandro, you’ve been nothing but good to my daughter. You have my blessing. Just promise me that you’ll continue to love and support her.”
Alejandro smiled, relieved. “I promise, Austin. I’ll always be there for her.”
They decided that Alejandro would propose at sunset on the farm, next to David’s grave. Lori-Anne had always wanted her grandfather to be a part of her engagement, and this felt like the perfect way to honor his memory.
