“Hays, grabe ang bunga ng love life mo, beh. Hindi ka na nagpapakita sa amin,” nagtatampo na sabi ni Ysa.

Ysa came to our house to take me out on a coffee date. I thought it was just the two of us, yet I was shocked when I saw Gab waiting for us. Ngayon pala siya umuwi. 

Gab laughed manly. “Well, I can't blame her for falling in love. She has a heart, Ysa.”

She didn't look in his way. “Everyone does.”

His gaze went to Ysa right away and stared at her intently. I laughed when I felt the silence seem very loud.

“Ehem…” I cleared my throat to catch their attention.

Ysa immediately turned her gaze on me while he was still staring at her.

“Anyways, how are you? Ikaw, Ysa? How was your vacation?” tanong ko. We need this to catch up.

Gab sighs heavily and turns his eyes to me. I only looked at him for a second and then turned my eyes to Ysa.

“Okay naman. Pumunta ako kay Lola sa Cebu dahil medyo kailangan siya ng may mag alaga sa kaniya.” nagkibit balikat siya.

Good thing the atmosphere changed.

Kumunot ang noo ko tumingin kay Gab. “You went to Cebu, right? I saw Jamir's post.”

“Yeah. Sinamahan ko si Papa na hanapin ang kapatid ko, he seriously said.

My jaw dropped. “May kapatid ka?”

He smirked and laughed a bit.

“Oo. Hindi nga lang namin na kasama dahil doon siya nakatira sa Cebu. Our family is aiming for Felicity to come home in Siquijor; it's just that my father doesn't want her to be involved in our cruel world.”

Napatingin ako kay Ysa, who acts like she doesn't care about anything at all. I think she knows something. She knows Gabriel is a Lucero? I think she is, because the way she acts is like a word.

“Well, you are silent now…” I paused a bit and then looked at Ysa. She sipped on more thyme. I pressed my lips before I proceeded to talk to him.

I looked at him again.

“I mean, Lucero is quite at peace now, Gab. Bakit niyo ipagkait na dapat mundo niya?”

“Tahimik nga kami, pero kung mauungat lahat, I know my little baby sister can't handle the scandal of our family. Bee, I don't want my sister to suffer the way I did just because I am a Lucero,” I see how his eyes glimmer out of fear.

“Your sister must be so lucky of you,” I said.

“Ang gulo maging mayaman…” natatawa na sabi ni Ysa.

Pareho namin siya na nilingon. Her eyes only settle into her coffee.

“Hindi ko keri. Mas gusto ko pa na maging ordinaryong tao na lang…”

Gabriel's eyes settle again on her. He looks so painful while looking at my friend, Ysa. 

“Tama ka,” I agree with her.

Doon lang dumapo ulit sa akin ang tingin niya. She smiled a bit.

“Anyway, saan ka mag-aaral, Bee?” Her voice sounds joyful now.

“Ah, doon malapit lang sa school natin noon. Nakapasa ako noong isang linggo. I forgot to tell you guys. I'm so sorry,” I sincerely say.

Ngumiwi siya sa akin, “Oo, dahil kay Amare. Hays, iba talaga kapag in love ha.”
