HIS POV

Fear of death is far better than fear of losing her, I learned today. I can endure the pain of death but the pain of separation from her was killing me every second, making me miserable.

The thought of something dangerous happening to her was slaughtering my heart and mind. I was losing control in all of those hours she was away from me, in danger. I realised in those few hours that she was ruling my heart and my feelings were much more than I ever thought. She meant the world to me. She is my world.

All I wanted was to find her, hug her and keep her in my arms all my life. And never let her go.

Even killing Angad could not give me the level of satisfaction and relief that I wanted to see her safe right in front of my eyes.

I could burn hell for her and still that would not be enough.

She stirred a little in her sleep but could not move much due to her injury.

It has been quite a few hours since I brought her back into the house and got her leg treated by the doctor. It was a minor sprain that gave her so much pain.

Even Sunaina was unconscious along with small injuries. But thankfully nothing alarming happened to both of them. They were safely back in their house.

I was still amazed at Tejas taking a shot at the goon who harassed Sunaina but thankfully nothing worse happened as he hit the wall.

There was a little commotion between her parents and her grandmother after we came but I paid no attention to it and took care of her all this while.

It was late at night and she was fast asleep but I kept looking for her. Although she asked me to leave, my heart was scared to leave her even for a moment.

She again winced a little in pain trying to turn in the other direction.

I quickly got up from the chair and held her foot while helping her turn the other way, putting a pillow under her leg.

"Aap soye nahi?" I heard her sleepy voice.

(You haven't slept yet?)

"Neend nahi aa rhi" I replied.

(can't fall asleep)

"Come here," she whispered and patted the bed.

I walked around the bed to face her and saw her trying to open her eyes. She patted on the space beside her looking at me.

I looked at her weak face and sat down caressing her cheek lightly. She placed her palm over my hand and spoke while looking intently into my eyes.

"Hum theek hai," she said and I nodded while smiling weakly.

(I'm alright)

"Dikh raha hai," I replied and she chuckled lightly.

(I can see that)

"You should sleep," she said and I nodded.

A few seconds later I took off my slippers and lay beside her comfortably. She was dumbfounded looking at my actions.

"Kya kar rahe hain aap?" she asked surprisingly.

(What are you doing?)

"Jo aapne kaha" I replied looking at her.

(Whatever you asked me to do)

And before she could say something I straightened myself immediately and took my shirt and inner vest off, and lay down back.
