HER POV

"Greetings Daksh Pratap Rathore," I heard a familiar voice.

I looked around and found Durgadas Rao, Angad's father approaching my husband with a few papers in his hand. A fear ran through my eyes looking at him after so long.

What was he now here for?

"You were invited today?" I heard my husband asking him.

"I was not. But I had to come. You made me." He replied.

"You really do not have patience," My husband gritted his teeth in anger.

What were they talking about? I was confused.

"You cannot avoid signing them. That was the condition. I get her family's fields under my name. Just do it." He said pointing to me.

And I instantly thought of our wedding night. I remember he told me that he got my family fields under his name to not get them exploited by Rao's.

But what was the condition for what he was talking about? I was very confused.

Suddenly I realised something very alarming.

Is he asking my husband to transfer them to Rao's name? Forever? Is that the condition? But what is the condition for?

My heart started beating wildly. All the worst possible thoughts ran into my mind thinking about the situation in front of me.

Is it that he married me because of these fields and more? How could that be?

My eyes filled with tears and I felt my body shaking thinking about all these possibilities. But it couldn't be so. He said he loved me and he would never hurt me or betray me. One sanity of mine was not able to believe he would do any such thing.

But the other half was confounded thinking he still didn't tell me why he was late to the wedding. What happened to his injured hand? Why did he sneak into my house like that the other night?

I love him and trust him blindly over my life. In all these times I have spent with him I did not find one single thing to worry about. But thinking about the danger my family would be in if my thoughts were true and all the trouble Rao's have given all these was making me weak in my knees. I could not stop thinking about my doubts.

Pondering over my thoughts I looked over at my husband and a tear rolled down my cheeks. I turned around and started walking away before I broke down in front of everyone.

I started to walk away clenching my heart and wiping my tears before anyone could notice and suddenly heard the crying voice of a baby. I looked ahead of me and saw a woman trying to calm her few months old baby from crying. I noticed Jhanvi and other ladies there too with her.

I quickly tried to walk past them but before I could I heard Jhanvi calling me out.

"Bhabhi-sa" Jhanvi said. (Sister-in-law)

I looked over to her and found her walking up to me and slightly dragging me to the group. She introduced the woman to me as her sister-in-law, Madhuri, from our family and we greeted each other.

The baby was crying hysterically while his mother was rocking him. I looked over to the baby boy, his cheeks were red because of crying and his lips were all pouty pink. He was a very cute and adorable child.
