HIS POV

Witnessing her leave disappointedly with tears filled in those eyes was making me weak in my knees. I could witness any pain in the entire world but that. But this was a critical situation in front of me. I couldn't walk towards her, away from the bastard standing in front of me or else he might create a scene in front of all the guests. I turned to look at him angrily.

"You have got the guts to come here and ask for my signature when you tried to manipulate my wife with fake documents," I said trying hard to control my voice and anger.

"I did not do that. It was Angad's doing." He said gritting in anger.

"He is behind the bars. How do you expect me to believe that?" I said.

"Arghh.... He's got his men everywhere. You don't believe me. Come with me and find out for yourself." He said and walked away.

I followed him knowing it would stall for some time for me to avoid signing those papers and help me learn Angad's strength behind his back. Also, I could better handle him out of here.

We sat in our cars respectively and headed to Raodhargarh. Upon reaching there after an hour we headed to his home lawn. I could see four men gathered there in a nasty condition. As if beaten. It looked as if he called them while we travelled.

He introduced those men to me as Angad's group members paid to do unfit jobs. They would do inappropriate stuff on his say, whenever told. They confessed that Angad sent a message to them from jail to do so. They were compelled to do it for a huge amount of money.

Durgadas dismissed them later on and looked at me knitting his eyebrows.

"I promised to keep Angad behind bars till your wedding, only if you transfer those fields under my name." He said.

"Those fields are not under my name yet. You have got to wait a little more." I said.

I could sense he was getting impatient. But under no condition was I ever going to intrude on those fields belonging to Radhika's father. After he told me that they hold a lot of importance to him and his family, they were able to establish their income after a lot of hardships years back because of those lands. If anything were to happen to those fields and his savings, he would not be able to survive it.

"You cannot avoid it," he said strengthening his tone.

"I'm not avoiding but telling you the truth," I said and started to leave.

"I cannot keep him away for quite long. And once he comes out of the bars, he will snatch away what was meant to be his." He said in a threatening tone.

He surely had enraged me. Dragging my wife and family into this was unacceptable to me. I looked back at him with my boiling blood.

"I am capable of protecting my family no matter who it is from. Do not drag my family into this or you'll pay for it in the worst possible way." I declared and walked away.

I sat in the car and left for Jeevgarh. He was not a man who would sit quietly and enjoy the show. I knew he would come around looking for me soon but I did not assume it to be today and that too surrounded by my family.

I will have to discuss this matter with everyone before Rao and his family plans something risky. We cannot stall him for much longer. And also I have got to keep a watch on Angad, even behind bars.
