This chapter is a test of a new approach, please let me know if you like it or not. This was the only chapter with a THIRD CHARACTER POV (in Dakshika) and I was very afraid to write it thinking you guys would appreciate it or not. If you do not like this sudden appearance of the third pov then surely let me know I won't try in the coming books.
SAMRIT POV
The best day of my life soon turned out to be the worst one. I confessed my relationship with Jhanvi to my mother today. And she offered a marriage proposal in response with joy since she has always been aware of liking for a very longtime. My happiness knew no boundaries, but as soon as I reached the Rathore Haveli it was all taken away.
I realised that her family was preparing for her marriage proposals these days and one of them was coming today. My blood boiled merely by looking at everyone preparing for lunch.
At first, I wanted to inform Daksh about us, right after I confessed my love to Jhanvi. But I couldn't because I could see how terribly he was suffering mentally due to the company's loss last year. We both faced huge losses at that time. After recovering from that he got himself involved in Rao's business, resulting in further delays. Later he and his family got occupied with Sarpanch Ji's family's matter and I couldn't say a word because people's lives were at stake as it. And I didn't want to add further worries. And then again the last couple of months have been tiring on him.
I have always known how possessive and protective he is for Jhanvi since her birth. No doubt any brother would be. And that is why I have always been prepared for his outrage, objection and disapproval regarding this relationship because it gives him all the right from both perspectives. As a brother and a friend as well. I tried to talk to him a couple of times but couldn't get to the point because of some or the other reason.
I sat on the isolated couch in the living room thinking about my problem in hand while Jhanvi's grandfather joined in.
"Samrit beta(son) please let us know what you feel about Rohit when he comes. I need younger people who can judge him better." He said and I nodded half-heartedly trying hard not to show my disgust.
I wished to go upstairs to her room, grab her wrist, come down in the hall and announce it to everyone right now.
Each passing second was boiling my blood. They all looked so happy. I could sense how painful it was going to be once they were made aware of us. Regret was flowing down my veins.
But no matter what, I love Jhanvi, she belongs to me, and I am not letting any disgusting fellow take her away just because I am not on time.
Suddenly my phone buzzed. And it was her.
"Hello," I said.
"What are you doing?" she asked anxiously.
"Preparing for your suitable boy's lunch," I said.
"You're home?" She asked surprisingly.
"When were you going to tell me about this lunch?" I asked.
"Even I got to know an hour ago," she said.
"I'm coming to you, I need to see you right now," I said and stood up.
"Noooo," she shouted.
"Everyone is at home today, especially my brothers. They'll get suspicious." She said.
I sighed and sat back down. I needed to be close to her to be able to think properly. I needed a hug.
"Why don't you let me tell him? What if we are too late?" She asked with a heavy voice. I knew she was close to crying.
