HIS POV

Life could not be better than it was these days. I had everything I could not even wish for. My company had taken a huge takeover this year bringing us millions of funds. My family was happy and contented after our wedding, especially my grandparents. They dreamt for us children to get married for years. And here we were. Married and happy.

And on the other hand, I had my wife, my life, my home in my arms. The girl I once fell for like a lover longing for her when she disappeared, is right beside me for all my life.

My heart is filled with love and joy these days just by knowing how close I can be to her and stay close to her all day and night.

Today we had to leave for our native village Jeevgarh, where our great-grandparents used to live in order to celebrate our reception. Our extended family members were waiting for us to show up and we were all ready to leave.

There was another reason to not celebrate here since some corrupt protestors were trying to hamper the security of our office empire as well as at home.

Though they would never be able to surpass the security, I didn't want to take any chances with a large number of guests.

I was standing here waiting for my beautiful wife to come along so we could leave quickly.

It's been half an hour and she's still not here. God she's making me wait for her this long yet I can't complain.

"What are you smiling about?" I heard Tejas.

I looked at him looking at me weirdly.

"I'm waiting for my wife. I'm thinking about her. What else?" I replied.

"Does it make you that happy?" He asked.

"Umm-hm, it's the most beautiful feeling in the world," I said and looked at the haveli entrance only to find her descending the stairs.

She was looking like a pretty little soft flower in the yellow saree she wore today. My smile stretched broader looking at her. She was walking to the gates with other ladies, smiling and blushing, loaded with all the wedding jewellery.

That is all I needed in my life. This is what was missing in my life. The other half. My better half. Her, my wife.

At this very instant I realised I would not be able to survive without her, ever. Not even for a minute.

I need her after every long meeting, after every fight outside of home with the world and inside as well. I need to come back to her for my solace; for her and for me too.

She looked at me smiled and came close to me.

"You're falling hard in love husband," she said softly.

"Is it that obvious?" I asked, biting my lower lip and trying to suppress my smile.

"You're blushing," she said.

I immediately looked around to see if anyone was looking at us or not.

My mother and grandmother were preparing to sit in the car, and others had also left by then. Tejas was gawking at his wife standing like a statue whereas Sunaina was stuck with her saree at the gates.

I quickly bent low and pecked her cheeks, not able to resist. She was taken aback and quickly looked around.

"What are you doing? It's not our bedroom," she whisper yelled.
