We girls do have dreams. I had them once. The ideal type we all have.

A man who loves me, a family, a house, a good job and to be successful in life.

But now?

Now I only have nightmares. My dreams were burned into ashes since the moment he touched me.

No.

Not the good kind of touch. It is the kind of touch we teach at school not to allow, it is the kind of act we as women give another willingly out of passion and love.

But mine were forcefully ripped away from me.

Was it my fault that I lost my parents when I was eleven or when my paternal uncle and aunt took me as their family but never treated me as one?

Is it my fault that I was forced to live alone? Or is it some kind of twisted joke?

When my life remains in shambles, my body dirty and my heart tattered to ribbons, only one man makes them beat wildly.

One who makes a flaming fire kindle inside me. He makes me feel. He makes my stomach flutter. A good kind. A dangerous kind.

And for that I hate him.

I hate him for making me feel.

I am broken. Broken things are never meant to feel.

Or is it really broken?

Only Aman Mehra could tell.

Important ⚠️

This book contains SA which might be triggering for some of you. As a girl everyone goes through something like this in our lives. Some of them revealed to the world and some of them unveiled just because of what the society might say.

If you are one to judge a girl for what she went through then this book is not for you. I wanted to write a mild backstory for Nitya but then thought why not choose a matter that's concealed from the society.

This might be a sensitive topic for many of you but sometimes some of us who went through sexual assault might find home in fictions. So if it's not your cup of tea I'd request you not to continue reading this.

Let's not be the backward thinking generation we once used to be. Don't make it a taboo by hiding them from the society. It's time we speak up for the right things 🤜🏻
