Since you all have been requesting me to update, I am doing it right now.
Thank you for the support and love.🌷
"Remember our deal about thanks and apologies?"
He utters as my hand hangs in the air conflicted between the idea of snatching my keys away from his hands or punching his nose.
Because how dare he?
His dark eyes moves up and down my body as if he's trying to get his fill of me after not seeing me for weeks. Surely I must be wrong.
I am frozen in my place. What is happening?
"Nitya? Are you there?" Bunny's voice jolts me out of my daze. I realize I'm gripping the phone tightly, my eyes still fixed on Aman.
"Yes," I respond, my voice a bit strained, but I don't look away from him. "I'll see you at work. Bye." Before he can reply, I quickly hang up the phone.
Aman is standing in front of me, wearing a simple white t-shirt and faded black jeans. As always, he looks incredibly handsome, but there's something different about him now. The dark circles under his eyes are more prominent, and his stubble is thicker than usual, giving him a rugged, worn look.
Maybe Nadia is not keeping him so happy like he expected to, afterall.
Shut up mind!
My heart tightens as I think about them. No.
He can't hurt you unless you give him the power again.
"Heer." He breathes my name and my traitorous heart beats wildly. I palm my chest and swallow the knot that has formed in my throat.
"What are you doing here?" Despite the trembling inside, my voice comes out steady.
"I came to see you." He says and I grit my teeth in annoyance.
"I already signed the papers." I grip my bag in a tight grip, "What else do you want?" I spit out, my voice sharp.
"You." He says immediately. Like he was waiting a lifetime to say that to me.
I stare at him my mouth tightening and a chuckle bursts out from me at the same time my eyes burns.
"Even after everything you did, you can't leave me alone, can you?" I shake my head, disbelief flashing through me, "I was about to visit India once I get the notice from the court. I won't go against it or god forbid ask alimony from you." I say.
Suddenly the thoughts strike, "I don't want anything from you." I say and he swallows raking his fingers through his hair, "If you think I'll come after your money and you came here to convince me otherwise, you can go back. I don't want them." I say forcing myself to look away from his face which has a crestfallen expression.
