Note that the next chapter will be updated only if the target is complete. I put a lot of efforts in writing but recieve only a little recognition. Sometimes it doesn't feel fair to give something for free. There's more than 1K reads for a chapter but still I get only 100 votes. Isn't it unfair? 🙃
"Who is he?"
My voice sounds different to my own ears.
The moment her ex explained how he let her slip through his fingers and he'll get her again, I wanted to slit that motherfucker's throat. I'll do it soon by the way.
The only thing that stopped me from doing it is Heer. She was trembling beside me, I wanted to hold her in my arms in that moment but I couldn't because she hates my touch.
So I remained silent. I am waiting for the right time to strike. I don't care if he's my little brother's future family. He isn't going to marry Aarav right?
But I have to know one thing. Why is Heer being so scared about him? Did she love him or was he abusive?
I clench my teeth tightly at the thought. That fucker is a walking dead man if he ever even touched my Heer.
"Who?" Her voice takes me back to the present.
"You know very well who I am asking about." I take a sip from the whiskey and her eyes trace my movements.
She lifts her chin, "You should be more specific." Her voice steels.
"Aarav the piece of shit. Is it specific enough?" I growl out.
She backs away in fear and I sigh to myself. I don't get worked up over another man like this. Ever. This is new to me. Everything is new to me when it's her.
I drop the glass in the table and walk towards her, "I am sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I rake my fingers through my messy hair.
"But Heer, can you please tell me who he is?" I tighten my fists, "Is he your ex-boyfriend or something. Is that it?"
She looks taken back by my suggestion. She opens and closes her mouth so I speak.
"Please put me out of this torment. Are you still in love with him?" I ask blurting out my one fear.
What if she is?
I don't care. That fucker doesn't deserve her anyway. He let her go. I won't do the same mistake.
She is mine.
She sits in the bed and sighs, "He's not my ex." She shakes her head like thinking about the idea is even silly.
"He was my boss." She confides.
"Boss?" I ask in confusion and take a seat beside her.
"Yes. I worked for his company on a designing project last year. That is where I met him." A shudder goes through her body.
