Chapter 10

Flashback continues:
Taehyung told everything to Jin. Jin became totally angry when he heard everything. Jin got up to confront Namjoon about everything but Taehyung stopped him by holding his arm. "Hyung, not now, we can talk after dinner. You look angry so first calm down. Areum will be coming here, I don't want her to be scared again, please" Taehyung pleaded him. Jin looked at him for a few seconds, sat back on the couch and started thinking something seriously.

"Hyung, are you fine? You seemed to be thinking about something seriously" Taehyung questioned his hyung. "Nothing Taehyung, I will freshen up and come to dinner" he replied and went from there. Soon, everyone except Namjoon came to have their dinner. Areum was shifting uncomfortably in her seat and looking towards the stairs from time to time. She didn't want to face Namjoon now.

Jimin noticed her hesitancy and asked "Are you fine Areum, you look a little uncomfortable" to which she replied "No oppa, I am fine". "Can I go to my room, I don't want to eat" Areum asked hesitantly. "Atleast eat a little, you will be hungry dear" said Taehyung being concerned for her. "I am not hungry oppa, can I go please" she tried again. "Do you want me to send dinner to your room" asked Jimin. "No oppa, I am fine. I am tired, I just want to sleep" she replied. "Okay, go and sleep" said Jin. She immediately left there from there.

Everyone ate their dinner in silence. After that, Jin asked in a cold voice, "Where is Namjoon" to which a maid replied "Sir is in his room only, he said he didn't want to have his dinner". Jin nodded, asked Yoongi to come with him and went to towards Namjoon's room angrily. After reaching the door, he banged the door angrily and roared "Open the door, you moron". In no time Namjoon opened the door but to his surprise, a punch landed on his face.

"Jin hyung, are you crazy, why are you punching me" said namjoon little loudly. "I want to kill you right now for whatever you have done" said Jin angrily to him while punching him again. "But hyung, what did I do? Why are you angry and punching me repeatedly". "You want to me tell you whatever you did, huh. You forgot this easily. You freaking hurted Areum" Jin told angrily.

"Hyung, I didn't hurt her, I just scolded her" Namjoon defended himself. "You didn't just scold her, you yelled at her, you held her arm so tight that it became red and you raised your hand to slap her. She got bad grades doesn't mean you can do all of this to her. You crossed your limits Namjoon" Yoongi said in a scary voice by kicking him near the ankle. He kicked him so hard that Namjoon was about to lose his balance. "DON'T MOVE FROM YOUR PLACE. STAND STRAIGHT" yelled Yoongi. Namjoon gained his balance fastly and stood there while looking at them.

Jin looked at Yoongi and said "Yoongi, go from here. You are angry right now, don't do the same mistake as him. Don't do anything in anger. Go to your room and calm down" Yoongi just gave a glare to Namjoon and went from there. "Now tell me, why did you do all of that?" "I already warned her hyung that she has to face consequences if she doesn't score well this time. I just scolded her. They are just exaggerating everything" Namjoon defended himself by looking everywhere except Jin. Because he himself was guilty after he heard Yoongi but he wasn't going to accept his fault.

Jin kicked him the same spot where has kicked him and ordered in a cold voice "Look into my eyes and talk, why are you scared to look into my eyes". Namjoon finally looked into Jin's eyes. Jin started "Listen Namjoon, you are her brother, you can scold her for her mistakes. If not us then who will teach her. But there is a limit for everything. You can't just yell at her even she was crying that badly. You raised your hand to slap her, your fingerprints were clearly visible on her arm. She told you were hurting her. That's not how brothers behave with their sister. Are you listening?" "Yes hyung" he replied.

Then, Jin went towards him and slapped him hard. Namjoon's face turned to the side with the impact of the slap. He looked at his hyung with a questioning face. "What are you looking at? I slapped you because you released your anger on Areum. You were angry because that idiot Jaehyung messed up the work. You can't release your anger on someone else. If you can't calm down, then talk later. Learn to control yourself Namjoon. Are you even understanding what I am saying?" said Jin. "I am sorry, I didn't mean to do any of that. It just happened. It's my fault" said Namjoon with guilt evident in his voice.

After a few seconds, Jin went to the washroom and brought a first aid kit from there. He took out some cotton and antiseptic liquid to clean the cuts which happened due to the punches. He also applied some cream on his cheek. After cleaning his wounds, "This is your first and last warning. Don't hurt her again, if it happens again, the bullets in my gun will be in your head" Jin warned with a scary voice. "Yes hyung" replied Namjoon being scared of his brother. Jin left from Namjoon's room while Namjoon was lost in his thoughts.

Later that night :
Namjoon wasn't able to sleep, so he decided to check on Areum. He got up and went to her room. He opened the door without making any noise and went inside. He saw that she was sleeping peacefully. He knelt beside her bed and stroking her hair softly. "I am sorry" he whispered to her and went from there and closed the door.

After going to his room, he browsed something. It was Areum's favourite teddy bear. It was so big in size. He thought to give it to her as a apology gift and placed an order which will arrive by tomorrow morning. He kept the laptop aside and tried to sleep. After great difficulty he slept.

Next morning:
Areum POV:
I opened my eyes when the sound of the alarm rang in my ears. I shut the alarm and woke up. I went to the washroom to do my morning routine. After that I took my bag and opened the door to go downstairs. There was a box which was almost my height with a card on it which read "From Namjoon oppa" . I took it inside my room and opened it. I saw a big size teddy bear in it. A smile crept on my face seeing it as I love teddy bears. I hugged it tightly and kept it near my bed safely.

I took my bag and went downstairs. I saw all of my brothers sitting in the dining room, looks like they were waiting for me. I went towards them and wished them good morning for which they did the same. Namjoon oppa looked at me, got up and came towards me. He caressed my hairs and face softly and said "Oppa is sorry Areum-ah, I shouldn't have behaved like that with you". "It's okay oppa, it was my fault" I said lowly. He looked at me for few seconds and asked "Did you like the teddy bear?" to which I replied with a small smile "Yes oppa, it's so cute". "Glad you liked it" he said.

"You didn't have to buy me that oppa, just a hug and kiss with affirmation that nothing like that will never happen would be enough" I thought to myself.

Then everyone had their breakfast and went to their work in cars. I went out and saw Jungkook-ssi waiting for me as always. I went towards the car and wished him good morning with a small smile. He wished me back and opened the door hesitantly so that I can sit. I didn't understand his behaviour but sat inside. He got in the driver seat and said after taking a deep breath "Areum-ssi, I am sorry for whatever happened yesterday. I didn't mean to yell a you. It won't be repeated again". For a few seconds I didn't understand the reason he was apologising for so I didn't speak anything and just stared at him. Then I remembered whatever happened in the university yesterday.

Before I could say anything he said while biting his lips "Ma'am, are you still angry?" "No, I was never angry, I was just teasing you. It was fun" I said with a sheepish smile. "What!! I thought you were really angry. I didn't even sleep properly thinking you would say everything to your brothers and I was scared for my life." he said with a  little pout. I laughed seeing his face and he had a shocked face. "Fine, I am sorry, you looked funny being scared. So I thought of teasing you" I said while trying to control my laugh.

I stopped laughing and said "So, can we be friends now?" "I will think about it" he said. "Huh, okay" I said being a little sad but then he immediately burst into laughter. I looked at him with a confused face "Look at your face Areum-ssi" he said and continued laughing. Then I understood that he was teasing me "What!! This was a revenge right" I said a little loudly. He nodded while still laughing. I made my hand into a fist and hit him lightly on his shoulder. "Sorry, sorry, friends" he said and forwarded his hand for a handshake. I returned the handshake back happily.

Of course I will be happy. He is my first friend ever. "Then stop calling me ma'am and Areum-ssi, you can call me Areum" I said with a smile. "No, I can't do that. I work for you so I can't call you with your name. Still, as I am your bodyguard, you can call me Jungkook. I am OK with you calling me by my name" he said. "No, Jungkook-ssi, you are elder than me, I can't call you by your name. My brothers taught me to respect everyone irrespective of their profession or their work. So I can't call you by your name" I replied to him.

He just smiled. "OK OK let's go. We will be late" I said and he started the car to go to the university.
