Chapter 36

Flashback continues:
"Am I in love?" Areum mumbled to herself.

"But he is just my friend. How can I fall in love? Also, he might have a girl friend ..or boy friend. What if he's gay and doesn't like girls? Why am I even thinking about his sexuality? It shouldn't matter to me, right. But he is so cute, handsome, kind, strong, funny, caring and also likes food just like me. He also called me cute sometimes. Today, he called me baby but he told he was just teasing. Just a second Areum! Why are you thinking about him? UGHHHH! You are driving me insane Jeon Jungkook" Areum was talking to herself.

To get rid of necessary thoughts, Areum thought of painting something. She settled on her table to start painting. While thinking of what to draw, she closed her eyes for a second. "WHAT THE HELL!" Areum yelled when she realized what she saw when she closed her eyes. She saw him again, 'Jeon Jungkook'. At the same time someone barged into the room, it was Jimin.

"What happened? Why did you yell" Jimin asked her. "Huh?" Areum didn't understand him. "I was passing by and heard a yelling from your room. Is everything alright?" Jimin asked her again. "Huh, no, I mean yes. Everything is alright" Areum replied nervously to him. "Then why did you shout?" he asked her. Areum chuckled nervously as she was thinking of an answer "Uhh, that-I saw a spider, Yeah! I saw a spider and got scared. That's it" she replied to him.

"Idiot, you screamed seeing a spider. I was worried for nothing" Jimin spoke being done with her behaviour. "Hehe, sorry oppa" Areum said sheepishly while Jimin sighed and left the room. Areum sighed in relief and sat on the chair to start paint something.

She was too much concentrated on the sketch she was doing that she didn't notice the time. She lost her concentration when someone knocked the door. She hurriedly hid the paper and opened the door revealing Yoongi. "You need anything oppa" she asked him. "I don't want anything, what are you doing without coming to have your dinner?" Yoongi questioned her. "Huh? There is still time for dinner oppa" Areum said to him.

Yoongi took out his phone and showed it to her "It's 9:30 Areum, where were you lost that you didn't notice the time" he asked her. "What! It's 9:30 already. Sorry, I didn't notice the time. I was watching series" Areum said while scratching the back of her neck. Yoongi shook his head in disbelief and smacked her head lightly "Stop watching too much series. It will corrupt your mind" he scolded her lightly.

Areum rubbed her head and chuckled nervously "Yeah! I will stop" she said to him. "Whatever, just come and have your dinner. Everyone is waiting for you" Yoongi said to her and left from there. "COMING" she yelled and closed the door to leave to the dining room.

While eating, Jin asked "Areum, you came home a little late today. Care to explain the reason?". Areum stopped eating and looked at him "I-I went to the park. I was playing with the kids. My friend also came with me" she replied nervously. "Who is this friend?" Namjoon asked her. "It's Jungk- I mean Jungsun. She is my new friend. I met her few days back" she replied to him. 'Did I just lie to my oppas? What kind of things you are making me do Jungkook' Areum scolded him in her mind.

"Oh okay!" Namjoon replied and continued having his dinner. Rest of the dinner went normally, just the brothers talking about their work and Areum felt left out in between her brothers. Areum completed her dinner and rushed to her room. She took out her incomplete sketch and resumed it again. She finally completed after three hours. She gave a final look to her painting and gave proud smile feeling satisfied by it. "Good work Areum" she praised herself and patted her shoulder. She kept the paper on the table so that it would dry properly. She laid on her bed as she was so sleepy. She went to her dreamland within seconds.

Meanwhile with Jungkook:
Jungkook went to his room after dropping Areum to the mansion. He plopped on his bed fully immersed in his thoughts. "Are you an idiot Jungkook, why did you even call her baby in the name of teasing? What if she takes it in a wrong way? Well, I am not wrong. She is cute, sweet, kind, has a cute smile, innocent as a baby. So it is justified that I called her a baby. She is literally a baby but I want her to be my baby" Jungkook mumbled to himself and sulked.
