Chapter 40

Flashback continues:
Jungkook planned on taking her on a date. Infact, he has been planning it since many years, he had perfect plan on how his first date should be. Poor boy, he didn't get a chance to implement that plan till now. But now, it was the perfect opportunity for him to impress his first love, first date, Kim Areum.

Jungkook planned on going on a picnic with his first date. But now, they were going all of a sudden. He didn't plan anything so he was upset that he it didn't go as he planned. Areum noticed his dullness and asked "Jungkook-ssi, no- I want to call you Jungkook or Kook or Kookie. Can I?" she asked with a cute face. A smile crept on his face seeing her cute face. "Sure, why not" he said with a smile. Areum became happy and said "Kook, you look upset? What's the matter?"

Jungkook faked a smile and said "Nothing Areum-ssi, I am fine". Areum pouted a little "Don't call me Areum-ssi or ma'am, call me by my name" she said to him. "Uhh, okay, A-Areum" Jungkook said being nervous as he never called just by her name. Areum smiled and they started talking about random things while laughing in between.

After sometime, Jungkook stopped near a house. "Just wait here, I will come back in few minutes" he said and went inside the house. 'Is this his home?' Areum thought to herself and got out of the car to look around. She was looking around keenly when someone tapped her from the back. She flinched a little and turned back to find a serious Jungkook standing there. "Ma'am, I told you to stay in the car. Why did you come out?" he scolded her lightly.

Areum gave a nervous smile and said "I just wanted to look around". Jungkook stared at her and said "Done looking around? Now come and sit in the car or else we will be late". Areum nodded and sat in the car along with Jungkook. Jungkook started the car and he was driving to a place which was a secret to Areum. "Was that your home Kook?" she asked curiously. Jungkook nodded his head and said "I needed something from there, so I stopped by". Areum nodded her head in understanding.

On the way, he stopped by another place and said "Don't come out, stay seated" he said firmly and went out. Areum glared at him and showed her tongue to him as a sign of teasing. Jungkook laughed and got out of the car. She huffed and folded her hands angrily. He came back after a few minutes and put something in the back seat. Areum turned around to look but retracted her hands back when Jungkook yelled "NO, DON'T LOOK AT IT" making her jump in her seat.

Well, Jungkook didn't want to spoil the surprise. He was really determined to make the first date as he planned since many years. That's the reason he didn't take her to his home and also to the shop.

Areum sat back with a sad face as Jungkook didn't allow her to look at it. Jungkook noticed her sad face and said "Sorry Areum-ie, you can see it later, not now". Areum got surprised by the nickname and exclaimed with joy "Oh my god!! I love the name". Jungkook smiled at her. "By the way, you called me ma'am few minutes back. Don't call me that" she said to him being upset. "Why not, you are my ma'am when I am at my job. When I am off work, it's Areum-ie" Jungkook reasoned to her.

Areum sighed listening to him "You won't listen, right?" making Jungkook shook his head as no. Soon, Jungkook stopped the car again and Areum thought they reached the place but she sat back down in disappointment as it was just a shop, but she couldn't figure out the kind of shop. "Sorry, just 5 minutes. Stay here, I will come back" Jungkook said and hopped out of the car without waiting for a reply.

Areum huffed and mumbled "He said he will be taking me on a date, but he keeps on stopping at different store for every 10 minutes. Stupid, idiot bunny".

After a few minutes, Jungkook came back and kept another bag in the back seat. He noticed Areum was upset and he expected that. He took out a ice cream from the bag and gave it to her "Here, I bought a ice cream for you - Chocolate flavour, your favourite". Areum's face glowed with happiness as she took the ice cream from him "Wooww, I love ice creams". She started eating ice cream happily while Jungkook adored her. "Didn't you buy a ice cream?" Areum asked him while eating her ice cream. Jungkook shook his head and said "No, I don't li-like ice cream".
