Chapter 35

Flashback continues:
Areum held Jungkook's arm as she was still feeling uneasy to be in the university. Both of them went towards the class and settled down at the last row far from others, as per Areum's wish. The classes went on smoothly without any disturbance for Areum.

It was lunch time, so Jungkook started making  his way to the canteen as usual but Areum stopped him "I want to go to terrrace" she said and left from them without even waiting for a reply from him. Jungkook sighed and followed her "You should eat Areum-ssi" he said to her. "I don't want to" Areum said firmly dismissing his words. "I perfectly know how to make you listen to me" he mumbled and followed her.

They reached the terrace and Areum went towards the edge of the terrace and sat on the wall by saying "I will be fine. Don't worry about me". Jungkook was fully determined to make her eat, so he tried again "Ma'am, come and have your lunch. Look at yourself, you look so pale and weak" but Areum didn't want to eat anything so she said "Leave me alone Jungkook-ssi". "But you need to eat Are-" Jungkook started but cut off when Areum yelled "I AM NOT A KID JUNGKOOK-SSI, I TOLD YOU I DON'T WANT TO EAT".

Jungkook flinched at her sudden yell and his face fell hearing her. "Sorry, I was just worried about you" Jungkook said with a low voice and looked away from her. It was silent for few minutes. Both of them were staring at the sky  without saying anything. Areum felt bad for yelling at him without any reason. She looked at him and noticed he was having a slight pout on his face, which she found cute. "Cute" Areum mumbled under her breath.

"Did you say something?" Jungkook asked her as he heard a low voice. "Ahh! It's nothing...I am sorry for earlier" Areum apologised to him while scratching the back of her neck. Jungkook's face brightened hearing her and said with a loud voice being excited "That means you will eat?". Areum spoke with a sigh "I really don't have a appetite Jungkook-ssi. How can I eat or sleep peacefully when I can still feel his touch. I can still feel the way he grabbed me, touched me, abused me. I am unable to get it out of my brain. It still hurts Kookie" she had tears in her eyes by the end of it.

Jungkook widened his eyes hearing the nickname she gave to him but maintained a straight face as his main aim was to console her and make her eat. "Turn to the opposite side" he said to Areum and helped her to turn towards him. He stood in front of her and lifted her face softly. "Listen Areum-ssi, I know it's hurting for you. I can't even imagine the pain you are feeling right now. But I want you to be strong and brave, then only you can overcome this. So, stop crying. You are my brave Areum right! And please don't starve yourself like this" Jungkook said with a soft and sweet voice by wiping her tears.

But it seemed like Areum wasn't still convinced so Jungkook decided to implement his idea. He kept one of his hands under her knees and another one around her shoulder and lifted her. Areum was startled by the sudden action and wrapped her hands around his neck "Ahh Jungkook-ssi, will you throw me or what?" she said in a loud voice to him.

Jungkook chuckled and said "No ma'am, You are not eating, so I am taking you to the canteen". Areum widened her eyes and said frantically "No, don't embarrass me by taking me like this. I will come, leave me". By now Jungkook reached the door of the terrace. He raised his eyebrows and questioned "Are you sure". "Yes, very much, now leave me. Don't you dare take me out like this" Areum warned him.

Jungkook scoffed listening to her "You think I am scared of your warning" he said while putting her down carefully. Areum ignored him and said in a loud voice "What were you thinking to do, huh? Are you crazy or what?" she said while hitting him. Jungkook ran away from her while laughing, making Areum chase him on the terrace. Both of them were continuing their little chase on the terrace for few minutes. It stopped when Areum stopped "O-kay, you win. S-stop" she said while panting.
