Chapter 23

Flashback continues:
"Oppa..." Areum started to speak but stopped when she saw Jin's glare. Jin sat on bed and pulled Areum towards him and made her stand in front of himself. Areum was feeling so small in front of him, she never felt this way in front of them. He held both of her hands in his hand, ruler in other hand and spoke coldly "Tell me whatever happened in university, how did you get out from there and don't lie to me". Areum gulped and started to tell whatever happened there.

Jin was fully angry by the time she completed speaking. "What were you thinking, huh? Didn't you understand when Jungkook told it wasn't safe outside" he spoke while raising his voice. Areum didn't utter a word, she was just looking down. Jin tightened his grip on her hands and said "Speak up". Areum whimpered in pain and said with a stuttering voice "Op-ppa, I didn't me-mean t-to. I didn't th-ink he was being serious and I thought he will be fol-following behind us in the ca-car". Jin glared at her which made Areum lower he gaze.

"I think it's our fault that we are giving you this much freedom even after knowing that it's risky for you. You didn't get a chance to attend school as well so we decided to send you to university. We are doing everything so that you can be safe, still you decided to break the rules and brought danger to yourself. If you just stayed back at university, we would have come to you and taken you back carefully. Nothing like this would have happened. Do you want us to stop you from going to university, tell me. I think it will be the best option now if you already made your mind not to take our rules and words seriously" Jin scolded her harshly. By now Areum was in tears.

"Noo, I am sorry. It's not your fault, it's my mistake. I shouldn't have behaved carelessly" Areum spoke while crying. Jin looked at her for a few seconds and spoke sternly "As you accepted that it's your fault, show me your palms. You are getting 10 hits on each hand". Areun widened her eyes and pleaded "Please oppa..". Jin shook his head as no and released his grip on her hands. She looked at Jimin for help but he just avoided her gaze and ignored her pleading eyes. He also thought that she needs to be taught a lesson this time so he didn't involve in between.

Areum lifted her hand reluctantly which made Jin shook his head "Both of your hands at a time" he said sternly. She lifted her other hand as well. Jin raised his ruler and hit both of her palms in an instant

*HIT* *HIT*

Areum closed her eyes tightly as the pain was too much for her. Jin noticed it but he ignored her and gave another two hits

*HIT* *HIT*

"Ahh please oppa" she said with a crying voice and took back her hands to rub her palms. Jin looked at her with anger and warned "Areum, don't move your hands if you don't want me to increase your punishment". Areum looked at him with teary eyes and kept her hands forward reluctantly. Jin hit her again without even wasting a second.

*HIT* *HIT*

Areum closed her palms for second and opened it again. Areum had tears rolling down her face. Jimin noticed her crying and looked at her palms. He widened his eyes seeing her palms because it was bright red. He understood that Jin was hitting her with his full force as it became red just after 3 hits.

As Jin raised the ruler again, Jimin went and placed his palm above Areum's to stop him from hitting her more. Jimin hissed lightly because the hit was really hard for him as well. He immediately snatched the ruler from Jin's hand and said seriously "Hyung, enough of this. You are hitting her too hard, I am not allowing this. Look at her hands, they are red and she is crying badly. Stop it and let's go from here". Jin noticed and felt guilty for doing this to his sister but he maintained his cold face and spoke "You are grounded, so don't you dare step out of this mansion for a week. If you try to do something I will break your legs" he warned her.
