Chapter 52

Flashback continues:
"No means, no. I am not coming" Jungkook said in a loud voice. Areum looked at him and gave him a weird look "If anyone hears you, they are going to think I kidnapped you" she said. "I don't want to come here" he said with a pout.

"It's just a shopping mall" Areum said being done with his behaviour. "And it's so expensive" he mumbled under his breath. "What?" She asked while crossing her arms. "You are forcing me to buy expensive clothes" he said with a pout. "I won't, just come with me" she said and dragged him inside.

Well, Areum was insisting Jungkook to go to shopping as he was only having few shirts and t-shirts, that too only in the colour black or gray. But Jungkook was hesitating as he wasn't having enough money to buy clothes. If he used up his money, there won't be enough money for his mom's medical expenses.

Areum took him to a store and she chose few outfits for him. Jungkook was continuously whining as he didn't want to wear different colours and the clothes were too expensive for him. "Baby, no, please. I have enough clothes" he pleaded her. "It's your birthday kookie" she stated. "One is enough, right? Why are you buying the whole store?" he asked with a pout.

"You need to know anything, just go and try these" she said while shoving those clothes in his hand. He stomped his feet and went to the trial room to try those on.

Jungkook tried them on, seeing those nice fabrics on his body made him feel good but he got sad realising he can't buy them. He tried them on and showed them to Areum, even she liked them.

"Done! We are buying all of these" she said and went near the payment counter. "I don't have money" he said abruptly making her turn around. "Did I ask you to pay?" She asked and Jungkook shook his head like a baby. "No, right! Then just shut up and come" she said and dragged him.

At the payment counter, Areum took out her card and gave it. Before the person at the counter could take it, Jungkook snatched it. "What are you doing? Are you crazy? Why would I let you buy these many expensive clothes" he asked her. Areum rolled her eyes "What is your problem? Why are you stopping me when I want to buy them for you?" she asked him back.

"I-I can't take them baby" he said softly. He was scared that she might be thinking that he was with her just for her money. "Just a minute, I am sorry" she said to the person at the counter and took Jungkook to a side. "Jungkook-ah, I am buying these clothes, for you, with love. Why are you denying them?" She asked softly.

Jungkook averted his gaze and looked away as he had no answer. "I don't want your brothers to know that you spent such a huge amount on me" he said with a low voice. Areum's face softened hearing him "Look! These money are my savings. I saved all the money that my brothers gave me from time to time. I never got the chance to use it as they gave me everything I need, even when I didn't ask for it. So, I decided to use my savings for someone special. And that someone special is you" she said while poking his chest. "And who the hell are you to tell that I can't spend money on my boy friend, hmm" she asked angrily while hovering upon him.

Jungkook gulped seeing her angry "I-Thank you" he said softly. "Shut up" Areum said and left from there to pay for the clothes.

After paying it, Areum gave the shopping bags to Jungkook. "Here, you should wear them frequently. Don't forget to wear one on your birthday" she said with a soft smile. "Thank you baby. This means so much to me" Jungkook said with a soft smile. "Yahh! Thank you? Atleast buy me an ice cream" Areum joked because he looked like he was going to burst out in tears at any moment. "Sure baby, anything you like" he said with a smile and took her to the ice cream store.

On September 1st:
It was Jungkook's birthday. Areum was excited because she prepared 3 surprises for him. She called at 12 am exact to wish him a Happy Birthday.
