chapter 8: safe

i was currently driving up to the lake district, where we were staying for the weekend.

from the photos of the house it looks nice and cosy.

i had been excited about this break away until i found out that a certain someone was coming.

why she got invited i don't have a clue, all i know is it's going to be a pain to try and avoid her

pain?

correct. the kiss at that celebration party was a mistake, i should have never done it.

it's giving her hope that she could lay me again.

and to be honest i'd only just managed to convince myself that i didn't need her and that i needed to push her away from me, like she did with me.

i know i'm giving her false hope but to be honest she gave me false hope time and time again.

i haven't spoken to her since the kiss, what is there to talk about?

i just hope this weekend doesn't end badly.

i pulled up to the cottage we were staying at, seeing lotte pull in after me

"easy drive?" i asked as i got out of the car and pull her into a hug

"fairly, just long" lotte said as she relaxed into my body, clearly tired from the drive

"well we are the first ones here so i say we get first pick on the bedrooms" i smiled teasingly at her, she laughed before getting her suitcase and making her way inside and looking at the rooms before picking the biggest one

"beth and viv won't be happy" i teased as lotte shrugged with a smirk

i started to look around the rooms left before picking mine, that had an bathroom attached to it so i wouldn't have to share

i placed my suitcase down on the bed and started to plug my charger in to place my phone on charge and take my shoes off and place them by the wardrobe to make it feel more like home.

i switched out of the clothes i was in and got into the shower before coming out and getting into some more comfy clothes, knowing we weren't going out anywhere tonight.

i walked down into the kitchen to see beth and viv there

"hello you two" i smiled as i pulled them into separate hugs

"hello alessia" viv said softly as we pulled out of our hug

"how was the drive?" i asked them

"longer then expected" beth laughed slightly

"well your here now and we got a nice weekend coming up" i said softly as i got a glass of water, nothing else in the house to eat or drink

"we will need to go to the shops" beth said

i nodded my head before we heard someone knock on the door, we all made our way over to the door and opened it

the last two people to arrive

"hello you guys" leah said as she pulled everyone in separate hugs

as leah pulled me into a hug i watched kai interact with the other girls, laughing and being polite with them

leah and i pulled out of the hug after a while and most of them started to make there way into the kitchen
