chapter 21: Down Time

the season had finally come to a end, my first season with arsenal and what a journey.

when i first joined arsenal i never imagined myself to change so much.

of course i expected it to change a little bit, but not this much.

we fell at the last hurdle, chelsea won the league once again.

but this gave us so much more motivation, kai joining us and being linked to so many more good players gave us hope we could finally win the league again.

kai and i were jetting off to ibiza for a few weeks, kai only being able a week off before she needed to be back in london to start her preseason before any of us.

kai sighed as she dropped onto our bed in the villa.

i looked down at her and smiled softly at her.

"what" she laughed

"you" i said back as i reached down for her hand

"mhm?"

"nothing i'm just happy your here with me" i mumbled as i laid on top of her

"i wish i could stay longer" kai sighed as she played with my necklace

"same, but we will stay in touch while your training" i said softly as i leaned down and pressed a kiss against her lips

kai hummed before sitting us up.

"come on then, can't keep ella waiting" she teased as she stood up

i watched as she got ready before eventually also getting ready.

"took your time!" ella exclaimed as we meet her outside her and joes villa

managing to get the two villas next to each other.

"yeah well this one was more bothered watching me getting ready then getting ready herself" kai teased pointing at me, too which i scoffed but knew she was correct

kai came over and wrapped her arm around me as her and ella laughed

i tried to shrug her off but she wrapped her arms tighter around me

"come on moody" she teased as she pressed a kiss against my cheek

"i'm not moody" i mumbled as i leaned against her

kai raised her eyebrow making ella burst out laughing.

"come on stop teasing her" joe said, laughing slightly

we all eventually calmed down and started to walk to the beach that was close by our villas.

"bloody hell" i heard kai mumble as we saw the beach

a white beach with clear blue sea.

"fucking hell" ella said

"you northerners will do my head in at the end of this" i laughed, now realising i was the only southerner here.

we all found some sun beds and laid out on them.
