Episode Three: When Bad Things Happen to Good People | Part Three

Rory was home still when she heard a knock on the door. She ran to the door and opened it to see Jess.
"Hey come on in," She smiled.
"Actually I can't, Mo-Liz and I talked earlier. I'm heading to Charlotte to meet the half sibling and real mother." Jess spilled quickly.
"Oh, do you need me to go with you?"
"No, I'll be gone for a few days. When do you leave?"
"Tomorrow. I was going to tell you but they just called me to let me know I have to be back for this conference." Rory sighed as Jess looked stumped.
"Oh." Jess finally said. Rory leaned in and kissed him quickly. Jess pulled away. "When are you coming back?"
"I don't know." Rory looked down.
"I'll come see you then."
"And vise versa." Rory tried to reassure him... and herself.
"I'll miss you," he kissed her.
"I'll miss you, too."
Jess hugged her bye and walked away.
Boy, adult relationships aren't much easier than when she was in highschool.

Lorelai stood in the bathroom, waiting. She had suspected for a few weeks that something was off and the test sitting in the cup of her own pee would confirm or deny her suspicions.
"Five, four, three, two, one." She counted down softly as the few minutes passed. Lorelai picked up the test and it was positive. She sat down, smiling to herself.
"Well, here we go again."
She walked out of the bathroom, test in her hand, and took a deep breath.
"Rory???" Lorelai yelled.
"Yeah?" Rory answered.
"Come here!"
Rory rushed up the stairs and Lorelai held up the pregnancy test. Rory grabbed it, seeing it was positive and she shrieked, hugging her mother.
"You're pregnant!" Rory laughed, thrilled with excitement. "Does Luke know?"
"You're the first to know," Lorelai giggled.
"Go call him!" Rory instructed.
"No thats too simple, I'm going over to his. I'll be back later." She hugged Rory and headed out the door.
