— The vice-captain hummed, sounding somewhat amused.
“That’s because i have the skills to rely on. ” I rebutted, a smile making its way to my lips.
“I’ll leave you two here, I can’t have someone stealing my prey. ” I turned to the other two.
“I trust you’ll find a solution, stay safe. ” I smiled before running after Shinomiya.
The others looked even more anxious when i rushed past them, probably because Shinomiya intimidated them a lot.
Soon enough, i caught up with Shinomiya and the others. I saw her shooting off Furuhashi’s prey, running past him.
I caught up with Shinomiya, smiling at her. “Hey there little miss, you ran off earlier than me, yet i still caught up. How can you be so slow?” I taunted, grinning when she looked pissed.
“See ‘ya!” I winked at her, leaping off by using the suit’s power.
It seemed like they’re having difficulties in finishing off a few Yojus who teamed up.
“Shit, there’s no end to them! How are we supposed to deal with these?!”
Since i’m very helpful, i decided to lend them a hand and blast all three in one shot, changing my lane so that I’d run past their sides and jumped, shooting when i reached the right height.
“Woah, three at one shot. Such destructive power, scary.” a random guy commented.
“Thanks for the compliment, cutie.” I winked at him, using an abandoned car as my footing and leapt forward.
The fastest route, if you ask me.
I glanced back, settling on the rooftop of a building. Seems like Shinomiya’s gonna catch up to me sooner or later since she finished off the rest, i gave the Honju a look, observing before jumping down and walking towards it.
Number 2016 has eliminated the last Yoju in Delta Area. Next she’ll attack the Honju and catch up to Number 2021.
“Weird.” I hummed, looking around the area once more. There’s another Honju.
I decided to leave this one to Shinomiya, running around the area while staying out of this Honju’s sight.
Upon reaching a different area, i looked around and started tracing the Honju’s waves.
Honju is eliminated. Final evaluation is over, good work everyone.
“2021, what are you doing?” The vice-captain spoke.
We will be retrieving the drones.
“There’s another one here, sir.” I answered, reloading my gun.
“That’s impossible, there shouldn’t be any left.” He replied.
“Negative, sir. I’m certain there’s another- !!” I was cut off my sentence when a shiver ran down my spine.
This isn’t a Honju! This is stronger! It’s coming from. . . I looked back at the direction from where i came from.
“Vice-captain Hoshina, please head over here this instance! A different and stronger Kaiju has appeared- !” Fuck, again?!
I was cut off again, but this time because i was shot. Where? My back. Did it hurt? Hell yeah.
Will I die? Negative.
