❝HOW’S THE SITUATION, ASHIRI?❞

— I asked as i leapt from building to building, heading towards the base as fast as I could.

“Hmm, just as that Guinne said, the Honju manifested into a Daikaiju and became oversized. Your little vice-captain won’t hold on with it on his own, but i can sense your captain’s soul approaching them. That’s going to be taken care off, the probelem is. ..” Ashiri trailed off.

“A foreign power descended upon the Daikaiju, correct? It’s so little that they won’t be able to detect it right away, but once it manifests properly and combines with the soon-to-be formed gigantic yoju bomb, the entirety of Japan will be wiped off.” Guinne finished for her.

How long until i reach them? I asked.

“About fifteen minutes with your current speed, too bad your suit’s not with you. To think that they’ll transfer you into a hospital so far away from Yokohama. That vice-captain of yours sure treasures you, aish.” Ashiri whined.

The nurse said i was sent here through a helicopter, i was probably at the base a few hours ago but was transferred when the kaijus appeared. I hummed.

Anyways, you said a portion of your full power returned right? Let me use it. I demanded.

“Girl, the power i regained were the power i once had when i was a full deity. Not some kaiju. It’s totally different, and would put a huge-ass strain on your little human body.” Ashiri argued.

Ashiri, i won’t make it in time if i only use your kaiju powers. I stated the obvious.

“Jeez, don’t worry too much, failed deity! My body is fully capable of handling your powers. Have you forgotten how compatible you are with my body? Your kaiju powers are 100% compatible with my body, and your deity powers are 100% compatible with her soul. The seal that supposedly stops the fusion of her soul and my body was terminated, meaning that as time pass by, my body will soon become her own. Enabling her soul’s full potential to collide with my body’s, and bringing forth powers that surpasses even deities.” Guinne butted in.

But it’s a gamble, right? On whether i’ll still be alive when the fusion reaches 100%. I questioned.

“Indeed. All becaus of Lady Soleia’s curse. But fret not, we will surely get rid of that curse before it takes effect.” Guinne assured me.

You heard her, Ashiri. Give it. I stopped on one of the rooftops, waiting for her response.

“Fuck, this is why i hate dealing with humans. You guys are way too persistent, much more humans with outstanding potential like you.” Ashiri whined.

“Transform away, i'll pour everything. Make sure to finish things in 15 minutes max, that’s the longest you can go with your current state.” She sighed.

“I guess your previous title as a deity wasn’t a fluke since you can sense that much even though you’ve just regained your memories and a bit of your powers!” Guinne taunted.

“Shut up! I’m not so weak as to not see the current condition of my possessor.” Ashiri yelled.

“I’m confused though, how will they address you as a Kaiju? Kaiju no. 9 was the title given to the girl Kaiju killed, and the supposedly Kaiju no. 9 became Kaiju no. 10, so does that Kaiju no. 10, is now Kaiju no. 11, and when you reveal yourself as a Kaiju, you’ll be Kaiju no. 12?” Ashiri rambled.

Why are you obssessing over complex things? That's for the federation to handle. I sighed.

“Kidding aside, is 15 minutes enough, [Y/N]?” Ashiri questioned.

I could feel sparks forming all over my body, my appearance transforming into Ashiri’s kaiju. However, changes were made since her deity powers began to flow right through as well.

“More than enough.” I responded truthfully as i observed the changes in my Kaiju form.

The former white hair turned into red, my eyes turning gold, and a newfound power began to surge within me. A much stronger power. Stronger than any Kaiju.

“So? How does the power of a God feel?”
