Chapter 14 - Shoot, shoot, and shoot!

❝ TIPS ON HOW TO SHOOT FASTER AND ACCURATELY?❞

— I repeated their request, sipping on my cola, looking down at them from the top of the wall.

“Hmm, i’m really not the best when it comes to giving advice. Perhaps just use every part of your eyes and instincts, then squeeze the trigger, not pull on it. It’s also important to know what shooting position helps you shoot accurately, but when it comes to shooting practices that require you to find the targets yourself, that wouldn’t be too helpful. So in this case, being alert and fast is the key. We’re timing you, after all. ” I advised, which i don’t think wasn’t the best but sure.

“Oh, but you’re free to do what you think is best for you since all you need to do is shoot all the targets. Stay in one spot and wait for them to appear one by one is fine, but be reminded that it would take a while since some targets will be hidden behind walls and so on. So staying in one place isn’t really something i would do. Well, part of it is maybe because i just like rushing head on but whatever. ” I added.

“Would that suffice? ” I hummed, all of them responding with a ‘Yes’.

“To hell with now knowing how to give advice. ” Reno complained, which didn’t go unnoticed by me.

“I can hear you, baby!” I yelled, grinning ear-to-ear.

“You’re going to bash me just because you miss me? Aw, you’re so adorable ~!” I squealed, batting my eyelashes and pouting my lips.

“Quit it! It’s gross!” Reno yelled, looking like a red pufferfish.

I laughed at his reaction, fixing my posture and smiling at him. “Good luck.” I gave him a thumbs up, he just sighed and gave me one too, heading in.

“Hmm, you two seem close. What’s your relationship?” the vice-captain asked, peering over my shoulder.

“Oh, don’t worry, Hoshina-san. You’re still my number one!” I gave him a flying kiss, to which he evaded.

“Sure, sure.” He laughed, and i booed his reaction.

“You’re no fun. You don’t even get flustered when i tease you, Reno’s reactions are way funnier. He’s like a guy who’s never been showered with affection before. Makes me want to take care of him.” I smiled, looking down at their group.

“So it’s similar to sibling love?” Hoshina-san asked with a hum.

“I’m not sure myself.” I answered honestly.

“As long as you still consider the sibling option, that’s good.” He murmured, but since i had ungodly hearing, i heard it.

“Oh? What was that? Do i smell jealousy? Hmm? Hmm?” I laughed, poking his cheeks teasingly.

“You must be imagining it.” He swatted my hand away, looking anywhere but me.

“I’m sad. Why won’t you look at me?” I faked a cry, covering my face with my hands.

“Wha- ! Fine, i’m looking at you!” He grumbled, pulling my hands away from my face.

I grinned at this, face flushing slightly red. “That’s better.” I giggled, intertwining our fingers together.

He stared at me for a few seconds, before looking away yet not retracting his hand back.
