— A familiar voice suddenly echoed throughout the area, making me stop and look around.
It felt suffocating. For some reason, it was hard breathing for me and I started to feel light headed.
“I won’t let you get ahead of me like before, witch. ” She appeared in front of me, pointing her palm and suddenly shooting her beam in an instant. Luckily, i was able to detect it and evade, the beam grazing my shoulder lightly.
“Can you move?” I asked, voice low and expression darkening.
“I’m kinda in a hurry.” I pointed my gun at her, glaring. She stopped momentarily, probably due to fear since she suddenly lunged forward.
A dumb thing weaklings do when they’re afraid, rush forward. I thought, transforming partly and drawing my sword, stabbing her as soon as she came close enough.
She screamed in pain, which only urged me to twist the sword and push it even deeper, roughly pulling it horizontally and splitting her body in half.
When i saw her core, i stabbed it with the sword, shooting her head and upper body in unison, not leaving her room to regenerate.
“I told you i was in a hurry. Bitch.” I spat, pulling the sword and stabbing her core again.
Alas, she stopped moving. Taking me only minutes to get rid of her. I separated her core from her body, carrying it and reverting my transformed form back to normal.
Ashiri, let me borrow your sword real quick. I said, letting the sword stay.
I dashed forward, hurrying towards the massive lump of energy which probably belongs to the other Kaiju.
“Guinne! Guinne! Can you hear me?” Hoshina-san’s voice yelled, sounding frantic.
“Yes, i can hear you.” I confirmed.
“Why can’t we contact you earlier!? What were you doing- ?”
“I’ve subjugated Kaiju no. 10, sir.” I reported, pertaining to the female Kaiju.
“The female? Immediately?” He asked for confirmation.
“I’ll get rid of Kaiju no. 9 next.” I spat venom, fury visible in my tone.
“No one messes with the people I love. I won’t allow it!” I yelled, jumping and shooting behind me, using the force from the gun as an accelerator.
“Cutie, barier-” Ashiri attempted to inform me, but i cut her off by slashing the invisible wall with the sword.
“Get the fuck out of my way!” I yelled, running even faster in hopes i’d be able to make it in time.
“Reno!” Iharu’s yell snapped me back to reality, the scene unfolding before me made me see red.
Reno was laying on the ground, crawling closer to Iharu but only resulted in getting shot. Again.
Before he deliver another shot in Reno’s body, i lunged forward, using the suit’s full unleashed power and slashed the Kaiju’s neck, successfully decapitating him.
He jumped back, holding onto his head as he observed my movements.
“Huh? You’re already here? Where is my child?” He spoke.
“What child? Oh, this?” I scoffed, throwing the damaged core at him.
“She was weak. As fuck.” I spat, glaring at him.
“And you’re just as weak. Yet you dare. . . you dare do this to my Reno?” I yelled, sparks appearing all over my body.
“I’ll kill you. Right here, right now you fucking imbecile.”
