- [Y/N] commented as she looked up at the manifesting bomb above the sky, a soft hum escaping her lips.
According to Guinne, after this Yoju bomb erupts, another one will manifest. A stronger but smaller one that the others will disregard and shoot over, but once they do, it'll explode and wipe them all out. She thought Guinne's words over.
Oh, there he is. [Y/N] whistled upon seeing Kafka in his Kaiju form, flying to the sky and blasting the lump of Yoju in the air.
"About time i step in. " She voiced out, the sudden appearance of an unknown entity snapped the attentions of the officers present.
Her graceful and elegant appearance was enough to make them forget about the current situation they were in.
They were aware that this woman was not human. But despite knowing, they couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and safety in her presence.
As if their souls knew that this woman was not a threat. That this woman will not harm them because of how gentle and soothing her voice sounded.
A-A new Kaiju reading has appeared in your area! The reading is. . . no way. . . no way. . . Okonogi's voice snapped them out of their enticed states.
F-Fortitude 11.8! No, 12. . . no, 13. . . The machine is overheating! That monster isn't simply a Daikaiju but a world-class threat! Please evacuate- The intercom was cut off with a snap of [Y/N]'s fingers.
"Don't scare them, Okonogi-san. Despite the frightening number of my fortitude, i'm not some thoughtless monster. " The woman voiced out, a soft smile on her lips.
She walked in slow strides, leaving a glowing light in her wake. The wounds of those she walk past healing in an instant.
"Mina-san, please tell them to activite their shields." She turned to the female, a smile gracing her lips as she did so.
Mina did as she requested, informing all the officers to use their suit's shields to protect their frail bodies.
[Y/N] stood beside Kafka, patting his back gently.
"Leave it the rest to me, old man." She spoke in a voice they would recognize, Kafka's and the others' eyes widened.
"G-Guinne?!" They screamed in shock, the woman laughing in response.
She raised her hand, turning her attention to the incoming backlash of the explosion that seemed to have arrived later, as if something had blocked it beforehand.
"[Y/N], things didn't turn out as expected. Perhaps Lady Soleia also took matters into her own hands and fastened the manifestation of the additional bomb. It's going to land along with the air accumulated from the explosion, brace yourself." Guinne warned, and i hummed at this.
"This is nothing." I muttered, walking forward and drawing a circle in front of me. The circle glowed bright red, unknown marking appearing at along its curve.
"Summon: Destruction." I casted, a bright red beam dashed forward, meeting the incoming explosion.
The collision of powers resulted in a massive smokescreen along with intense air pressure that could crush humans, but all ends well due to the protective barrier [Y/N] casted around the collision.
As the air around the barrier calmed down, she released the spell and smoke and a less intense air gushed out. The clouds began to clear up, and at last, the battle was finally over.
"To think a mere human vessel like you is capable of giving me this much trouble, commendable." A threatening voice echoed, all that were presence were certain of one thing.
This person was an enemy.
"But don't get too cocky, human. No matter who your ancestor is, and no matter how strong you become, i will prove to the upper echelon that they were mistaken in choosing you! We shall meet again." The voice gradually disappeared, and as it did so, the people present were relieved as the heavy air dissipated.
"Kafka-san, are you alright?" [Y/N] patted the man's shoulder, a soft smile on her lips as she reverted back to her human form.
The said man only stared at her, dumbfounded at the revelation of her similar powers.
"So you're also-" Hibino was cut off when they heard guns clocking, their attentiond shifting behind them.
"Hibino Kafka. . . .No, Kaiju no. 8 and. . . newly known Kaiju. I'm taking you two into custody."
