Complications

I blinked my eyes slowly as my vision cleared and I tried to assess the situation.

When I finally was able to come fully conscious again, I felt a searing pain in my right ankle.

Wincing, I bent to try and rub my ankle and almost fell out of Coles arms. Wait a second!

I looked to my left and realized that Cole was carrying me. When did that happen?!

"What happened?" I asked Cole nervously, folding my arms across my chest.

"You passed out when you crash landed the hang glider." Cole stated as he stopped abruptly, "but now that your conscious again..." he set me down and started walking.

"Wait up!" I called as I limped after him, "I think I screwed up my ankle!"

He looked back at me with a bored groan as he trudged back to where I stood on one foot like a flamingo.

"I'll go get my motorcycle, just wait here." he instructed as he walked off again leaving me stranded.

I'd kinda been hoping he'd carry me again, cause it just felt amazing and made my heart race. But instead he'd just ditched me here to wait while he went and got the motorcycle. Jerk.

Sighing, I limped over to the sidewalk, sitting down and using a lamp post as a back rest.

The breeze continuously tossed my hair in my face as I attempted to brush it away from my eyes.

After a few minutes of fighting with my hair, Cole pulled up on his motorcycle. I narrowed my eyes in concentration as I realized he was on the phone and I attempted to figure out who it was.

"Yeah, ok, whatever, bye." Cole hung up the phone with a roll of his gorgeous eyes.

I stood up, climbing on behind him, "who was that?"

He ignored my question and started the engine, speeding off toward our neighborhood.

What the hell? I just wanted to know who was on the phone! Is that like to personal or something? Once again, jerk. Beautiful jerk...

Snap out of it! I shook head, attempting not to get sucked in to over thinking.

Before I knew it, we were pulling to a stop outside Cole's house.

"Thanks." I smiled at him as I carefully climbed off the motorcycle, leaning more on my strong ankle.

"Yeah." Cole nodded, "one step closer to being edgy."

"Hey!" I opened my mouth in shock, "I jumped off a bridge with you and sprained my frikin ankle! That counts as being edgy!"

He smirked, laughing a little and sarcastically adding, "sure it does princess."

I put on a fake pout, "it does!"

"Mhmmm, sure." Cole winked, walking past me toward his back yard.

"It does!" I yelled after him as the gate closed. I scrunched my face in defeat before limping back to my house.

Only when I stumbled inside did I realize how late it was. The clock on the oven read 11:45 and I had school tomorrow. Screw Monday's honestly.

My dad jogged into the kitchen looking concerned and engulfing me in a bear hug, "oh thank god! Molly you've been gone for hours and ignored my calls I didn't know what'd happened to you."

Shocked, I gave him a slight pat on the back, "dad I'm fine. I was out with a.... friend."

He nodded taking a deep breath, "what happened to you? You stormed out for no reason and came back hours later with red tipped hair more piercings and a shopping back from some punk rock store."
