Cole squeezed my hand again, reassuringly, "what happened?... You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, I just want to make sure you're ok."

Sighing, I chewed my lower lip, "can we talk about it another time?"

He nodded, "of course, whatever happened, I'm glad you're safe and that you're here."

My smile returned slightly as I leaned down and kissed Cole's cheek, "I'm glad you're ok"

The doctors released him after putting his arm in a sling and giving him crutches to go with the boot.

But that wasn't our only problem, we didn't have a ride home since Cole's bike was in the shop now and neither me nor Andre had a car. Not to mention Cole's parents were unaware of him getting his brother out of jail.

"We can go to my house, I'll pay the cab fee when we get there, but I don't know where you guys could hide or stay or whatever." I offered with an awkward look.

"You could hide Cole in your bed." Andre suggested, getting glares from Cole and I.

"Shut up." Cole snapped, elbowing Andre.

"We'll figure something out." I added as I dialed the cab company and explained where we were.

A cab pulled up a few minutes later and we all piled in; Andre road shot gun, Cole and I took the back seats.

Our street was dark except for street lights, as the driver pulled to a stop outside my house.

"I'll run in and grab some money." I stated as I got out of the cab and snuck quietly through my front door.

Feeling like a ninja, I grabbed my wallet and snuck back to the cab and paid the driver.

"I can climb through Cole's window and lock his door so our parents won't know." Andre suggested, Cole and I nodded in agreement as he started to walk away quietly toward Cole's house.

"I'll sleep on my floor and you can use my bed since you're injured." I offered as we slowly made our way up my driveway and inside.

Cole chuckled, "alright, thanks."

With baited breath, I opened the door slowly and tip toes toward my dads room, motioning to Cole to go in my room.

Snores emanated from my dads room, I peaked around the corner and saw two sleeping people. My dad and the lady from earlier. I had to admit I was kind of hurt, his daughter stormed off and didn't come back all day and he just peacefully goes to bed?! Wtf! I could've been kidnapped, or raped or killed! But did he seem to care? Noooooo!

My jaw clenched in anger as I stomped back to my room and sat glumly on the floor, glaring at nothing in particular.

"You ok?" Cole questioned, his tone full of genuine concern, "I'd come sit next to you but..." He pointed to his crutches and boot.

I gave a weak smile, getting up and sitting next to him on the edge of my bed, "I'm fine, I just- my dad and I are having issues and stuff... Just thought he'd have been more worried." I trailed off whispering the last part almost to myself.

"More worried about what?" Cole questioned, putting his good arm around my shoulders.

"Well when I came home this morning he was all upset and then I figured out some random chick he was sleeping with was at our house and I stormed out and went to the fro-yo place in town. Keegan was there and he wanted to hang out so I said yes and we ended up at his house and were gonna make pizza but ended up throwing it all over each other so I had to wear his clothes. Then we watched a movie and he started kissing me and I got caught up in the moment then I stopped him and got mad and was gonna leave and he made up this BS story about his parents getting divorced and I believed him and felt bad and said I'd keep him company and we ended sleeping in his bed but not like that, just laying there. I couldn't sleep and his phone buzzed and I looked at the texts and him and wes made this bet and stuff about who could get me to sleep with them and so I grabbed my stuff and headed out and I tried to call you but you weren't picking up and finally your brother answered and told me what happened and came and got me. And my dads just sleeping peacefully and wasn't even worried about me and- I don't know!" I finished my rambling with a broken tone as my shoulders slumped.
