Never thought it would be you!

Lexi's pov
This morning I woke up around 7:30am for work.
Andrew had already gotten up and gone to work. Lately I have the feeling that he is hiding something from me.
A few days ago when I walked into our room I saw him putting something in his safe.
I didn't see what it was, but when he heard that I was in the room, he immediately closed it. If I knew the code to his safe I would check, but I don't know what it is.
And it's probably nothing important, I'm just exaggerating.

I put on a blue dress, tied my hair in a ponytail and went to work.

I am now in my office working on a presentation on my computer.
As I was working I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in!" i yelled.
The door opened and there I saw Andrew.
"Oh hey baby!" I said.
"Hey love!" he said and came up to me.
"Are you ready?" Andrew asked.
"For what?"

"For lunch Lex.."
I looked at the time and saw that it was already 12pm!
"I didn't even notice it was 12pm!"
I have to finish this presentation by the end of the work day, and I still have so much work to do.
"Well babe I have to finish this presentation and I don't have time.."
Andrew took a chair and sat next to me.
He took his phone and ordered us food.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"If you don't have time to go out and eat, we'll eat together here."
Andrew kissed my cheek and massaged my lower back.
"But love you have work too."

"Did you forget I'm the boss? I can go to work whenever I want."
Andrew was looking into my eyes and smiling at me with that childish smile.
"Okay, but at least don't distract me.."

"Okay sweetheart."

After a few minutes my assistant Julie brought our lunch.
I was so focused on my work that I forgot to eat and Andrew started shoving food into my mouth.
"Now will you help me eat too?"

"Work! don't get distracted!"
I rolled my eyes.
The whole time I was working, I sat hunched over. And from sitting hunched over, my lower back was starting to hurt.
"Are you okay?"
Andrew asks, noticing that I'm holding my waist.
"My waist started to hurt."
Andrew got up from his seat, lifted me into the air, sat in my chair and sat me on his lap leaning me on top of him.
"That way it won't hurt you!"
I kissed his cheek and continued working.
After a few hours I was done with the presentation and could go home.
I handed the flash drive with the presentation to my assistant and Andrew and I left the building.

Soon we were home and relaxing on the couch.
"Honey be ready at 8:00 because I'm going to take you somewhere."
Andrew told me.
I lay on him
my arms were wrapped around his neck, my head was resting on his shoulder and my face was buried in his neck.
Andrew massaged my back with both hands and kissed my head from time to time.

It's already eight o'clock.
Andrew and I both dressed in matching colored clothes. I put on a beige dress and Andrew put on a beige shirt and beige pants.

Then we got into the car and there Andrew tied the blindfold on me.
I wonder what he's up to, because on our regular dates he doesn't blindfold me.
Maybe it's something very special.
The whole way Andrew held my hand and kissed it every now and then.
A feeling of excitement was forming inside of me and making my stomach into a ball.

After about an hour's drive, we arrived at a place unknown to me.
Andrew got out of the car, then pulled me out of the car, picking me up bridal style.

Soon I felt my feet touch..sand?
Then I heard waves and realized we were on the beach.
"You can take your blindfold off now amor."
Trembling, I took down the blindfold.
When I took off the blindfold I saw Andrew in front of me.
He was smiling at me.
I looked around and saw all our friends.
Some were smiling and some were crying.
Confused, I looked back at Andrew.
"What's happening?" I asked him.

"Lexi I remember the first time we met. It was like yesterday.
I sat in front of my phone and smiled at the messages you sent me.
You know, I never thought it would be you. I never thought I'd fall in love with you so much. I thought you'd be another waste of my time. When I left Huntington I couldn't stop thinking about you.
I've tried being with others over the years, but no one made me feel the way you made me feel. And over time I realized that I don't want another one. I realized that you are the woman of my life. I hoped that someday we would meet again and my dream came true. God brought us back together."

Suddenly, Andrew dropped to his knees and took a ring out of his pocket.
"Lexi, I love you so much, and because I love you, I'm going to ask you the question I've been wanting to ask you for so long.
Will you marry me?"

With tears in my eyes I said yes. Everyone around us started clapping.
"I think I have something to tell you now too.."
I told Andrew, drawing the attention of our audience as well.
"I'm pregnant!"

A year later, Andrew and Lexi get married in a small church in Italy.
They live together with their two children Andrea and Thomas.
