A corporate office. Everyone are working at their places. A new intern, with a mask on her face, is looking at her phone, scrolling Instagram and frequently looking at her desk computer.
That, is me. Suzanne. Well yeah, I was just so bored with this internship thing. The computer at my desk was so slow that it would take 20 minutes just to search a file in it. I got up in a serious mood, and peeped to the desk at my right. I said with sparkling eyes,

"Hey, Trishaaaa... Listen up already."

The frustrated girl with spectacles wouldn't listen. She alas replied,

"Be at a distance. What book do you want now?"

"Aww you know me so well. You know that I'm so bored here, right? So, I need a book that's related to dynasties. Something like, "Long ago, there lived a King-"

"Okay don't continue, you'd make it weird. So there's one called as, 'The Queen's Diaries' and-"

"Not kings diaries? They'd be so hot you know?"
An exited voice from the desk behind me said. I replied,
"How much are you gonna simp for boys, Sasha?"

"Why you hate them so much, Suzanne? All are not like your younger brother you know!"

"You better stay quiet, Sasha, your not going to let me work. And you Suzanne, there's one fact that the book I told you had 3 full pages blank in it. 28 & 29, 30 & 31, 32 & 33. People try to solve the mystery of them."

"Okay, thanks Trisha, I'll go and get it right away."

"Suzanne! You need to hear a news." I came back. Sasha continued,
"We're getting a new boss. I hope she's-.. no, it should be 'he'. And 'he' should not be rude. He should be someone hot! (She lowered her voice) I'll not tell this to Trisha."

"You even want to rizz up the boss?" I giggled. Till then a scary voice was heard, who lowered her spectacles and said,

"I hear you, Sasha."
I knew it was disaster when Trisha got angry.

"You guys continue, I'll leave for the half day. It's my elder sisters' son's first birthday."
I left from there, taking wishes for the little one.

I went to a library and picked up the book she mentioned. The librarian looked at the title and went to search for it. In some time, I saw the old librarian trying to run behind some small children. They were running with the book. Alas, the old lady got the book. She gave it to me saying, with a tired voice,
"I don't know who these kids are, they were running with the book you wanted. Take it."

"You always forget the money ma'am. Take this. Thank you!"

"Yeah, I've gotten old now. I often forget things. Which book did you want?"

I giggled. "You don't remember frequent stuff, but remember each book in the library!"

"Yeah, I even remember about my beauty when I was young, how I enjoyed with my family. Where did I keep the money now?"

"It's in your hand ma'am! You should retire now. Take care of yourself. Bye!"
"Oh! Bye."

The sun had set. I went to my elder sisters' house. I was welcomed by the little one dressed like a Prince. But I somehow managed not to touch him and went straight to the bathroom, washed my hands and feet well, and came out. My elder sister gave me a voice,
"You've got your second dose of vaccine?"
"Yeah, it still hurts."

Someone made an announcement,
"And! Tonight, after all reach their homes, all will be quarantined!" My brother had said. I replied,
"Why would I listen to you, idiot?"

"Well, you've to listen to the government. We'll be lighting diya on our windows. So no one will leave."

"Okay fine."

The cake was cut, and all celebrated. After the snacks, I sat quietly in a corner and started reading the book. I first opened page 28. It was blank. But, when I tuned the page, I directly saw page 33. I put my finger and tuned to the other side of the bundle, to find the same pages sticked together. And they were blank too. Trisha didn't mention about the other sides. I then saw a cut on the sticked pages. It looked like a snake, or maybe a lightning strike. I then heard everyone saying,
"Whoa!" looking at my brother's phone. I peeked in it. He had caught a lightning strike on his camera. My eyes widened.

The lighning strike had the same shape as the torn pages. I put my nail in the page, and the first page opened. But, it was not blank, there was a map in it.
