I asked the Queen,
"Did we-... pass... In the test?"She replied,
"Yes, you passed. But that makes you more suspicious. Last people to enter the kingdom, and these fighting tactics...
So, as you were the prime suspect, and you also passed this test, I'm pleased to give you a death sentence for the same. Soldiers, Arrest them!"No.
No.
No... What?
The Queen just dropped the biggest shock of my life casually. Is this even real?
Am I dreaming?
Did she just say 'death sentence'?I literally felt like it was a nightmare, which would end soon, or that's what I thought.
My ears could hear nothing other than the loud footsteps of the soldiers approaching towards me. My body felt weaker than my mind. I felt that I was about to faint. Neither my eyes nor my ears believed what they saw and heard.
I knew it was all over. I felt there was no way out now. I'm going to live here forever, until I die, away from my family. The time wouldn't start until we die, and my family would never even know the reason of my death.Till then, a messenger arrives,
"I greatly apologize, Queen Avantika, but this is an important bad news. The grains reserves are on fire. 10 sacks of wheat have been totally burned. We are waiting for your orders."He suddenly gasped, realising his mistake, he bend down his head,
"I greatly apologize, Your Highness, I didn't mean to mention you by your first name. I'm ready to accept the punishment for it."The Queen replied, sympathizing,
"That's not important currently. The granary is on fire."The Queen started giving them orders of how the fire should be extinguished. The soldiers which were approaching towards us now headed towards the granary.
'Arresting delayed? What should I do? Run away? Can I?' I thought.
I asked Sahil,
"What will happen now?"He replied,
"Wait and watch. But I won't let you remain here forever."I don't know what magic those words did over me. I was moved by his words. I felt relief, in it's true sense. I calmed down, not thinking anything about the current situation anymore. Did he care about me so much?
The Queen then came to us and said,
"You both can leave.""What?!"
I asked.I'm so dumb sometimes...
The Queen gave me a annoyed look. I made my head down and apologized.
She then continued,
"I order you to leave this Queendom within 7 days. And if you find a soldier suspicious, report it to me via Nishant. You can stay for now, but I shouldn't spot you here after 7 days, not even a shadow."She left the room. I was almost about to jump with excitement, but Sahil stopped me saying,
"You can do this at home, not here. Please."We left the room. I was so happy. I felt like a free bird. We were in the corridor, while I saw one of the Prince. Sahil told me later that he was the elder Prince. He seemed worried.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even observe us moving through the corridor. He walked in a fast pace, a hand over his head. He was literally going to dash me while Sahil took me away from his way.He pulled me in such a way that I fell into his arms. I was gazing at him like something out of the world has happened. His firm hand, and his hazel eyes which seemed like the deepest ocean in this universe. Time slowed down and everything else around me disappeared. Him, and me.
Only the two of us.At this moment, I felt that he came close to my ear. I felt his hot breath over my neck, making me feel ticklish.
He spoke in a low, seductive tone,
"Are you falling for me?"My cheeks turned red.
I then realized that I was hallucinating all of these actions.
The real question what he asked, and WITHOUT coming closer to me was,
"How are you falling so easily? Can't you stay firm? I just took you out of the Prince's way and you fell down? So easily? I don't understand why do these kind of scenes even happen in movies and stuff."Sigh.
I then understood that Sahil is always Sahil. No matter what happens. I was frustrated. I gazed towards him like I had lost hope over this world. Was I angry that nothing happened as per my hallucinations?
Sahil got confused looking at my reaction. He blinked twice, wondering, and then, cutely gave out his idiotic smirk and asked me,
"What did you expect me to do?"I didn't understand his statement at first. The moment I understood that he was talking about that~
"No no no! I-... I didn't expect anything! S-... Sorry!"
My cheeks, no, my whole face was red. I gulped, and got up at once.Giggling, I left the palace. For the first time, I had seen Sahil blush, that's what I felt. He was smiling, playing with his hair and looking at the ground. But still, trying to hide the expression.
Maybe he was confused and he didn't know that how crazy my devilish imaginations were. I felt that this scene was something we both got awkward out at.We were on our way home, while I heard someone saying,
"It was a play! Everything was a play!"I turned back, and my eyes found the source of the noise.
A parrot.

The Mystery Girl
