He asked me,
"But, where are you taking me?"

"Curiosity kills the cat, sir. I had told you not to speak, right?"

From walking, I increased to running. We reached to a place where it became more quiet, but a bit more bright. I stopped there.

We gazed up to the hundreds of stars shining with the moon. Stares that illuminated the sky like diamonds. Above them, the space was in shades of navy blue silk. There were no signs of dark clouds. A complete crystal clear atmosphere.

I said in wonder,
"It's so pollution free, right?"

"Yes, but why have you brought me here?"

"To enjoy this place. From when we've come here we are just searching for a way to get out of here. We feel trapped here. But, the reality is that we should feel more better here. Looking at these surroundings, I feel that we are in the ancient times. So, I guess we have a chance of changing the history."

"And we don't know what sort of history are we changing." He smiled.

"I wish I could just get out a complete chapter of the students' textbook. I didn't like history  when I was young. Did you like history?"

"I liked it as much as you hate boys."

"Ugh! Why does this topic come out of nowhere?
Well, what is your age?"

"Why is this question come out of the blues?"

"No reason. Just for my infor-..."

Interrupts, "24."

"Oh! But why you always interrupt me? It's so irritating!"

"If I don't, you will spill out all the secrets. And you should know that we shouldn't be spotted by anyone at this odd hour of the night. Especially in these times. If any random people see a girl and a boy together at night then the news will spread like wildfire. You shouldn't have brought me running here at night."

"If I would not bring you here, you would miss all these things."

"And why are you so concerned that I will miss all these beautiful scenes?"
He said, exaggerating on the word, 'you'.

"Oh! I know in which direction your evil thoughts are going. I'm not that affectionate towards you. Looking at your attitude I thought you would be someone useful, that's the reason I followed you. Once we are out of this, I won't be able to recognize you."

I smirked and said,
"For your warning."

"That's better. A good explanation."

I don't know why, but hearing this, I felt a bit hurt. I said, frustrated,
"Ah! Look at this scene now."

"Frustrated?"

Is he reading my mind?

I felt my cheeks grow warm, I didn't know why. This was the first time I felt something like this.

"W-... why would I? I was the one who told you that."

"Your cheeks turned red like a cherry."

"Sh-... Shut up."

He was still gazing at me. The smirk had turned into a beautiful smile, that I couldn't take my eyes off.

I felt butterflies in my stomach. I didn't understand if I was comfortable or not. I looked away from him, trying to calm the butterflies down.

I looked at the sky, amazed. Thousands of stars gathered in the sky. Trees moving slowly due to the mild and cold winds. And the calmness. I felt that I was dreaming.

Now we weren't getting late.

After few minutes, I broke the silence,
"What had happened in the evening? Why did you bring me back like that?"

"Those people wouldn't spare us if they came to know that we overheard them."

"Why would they hurt us?"

"Obviously, if someone enters in your secret discussion then you will be angry, right?"

"But thinking of someone's privacy and running out of fear are two very different things, Sahil!" I said, raising my voice.

"I just-... I just can't believe that he can do that."

"Who is-..."

He raised his open fist and placed it in the air, indicating me to stop. He looked into my eyes.
And then pointed towards his ear, indicating me to hear something.

I paid heed to the silence to find a faint voice.

It felt like the sound of the dholak. Who could it be at this odd hour of the night? We both looked at each other, confused. We moved towards the direction of the sound.
When it started to intensify second by second, we found that many people had woke up and had come out of their houses.

Sahil reminded me that this was the means of passing messages in the whole kingdom. When we heard the noise at it's loudest beat, we found two people sitting on a bullock. When everyone was out of their houses, the person with the dholak announced in an unkindly harsh voice,

"ATTENTION!!

ATTENTION!!

ATTENTION!!

WE HAVE LOST OUR HONOURABLE KING FOREVER!!

ATTENTION!

ATTENTION!"
