The Queen picks up the crown.
"The one who would continue to reign over this kingdom will be..."
She keeps the crown on a head and adjusted it well.
"Me."The decision stood firm, the crown was placed on the Queen's head.
At the end, Sahil was right.Nishant continues,
Her lips curved to form a devilish smirk. The crown was as firm as the decision, as if it was cut out especially for her head.
She moved up towards the throne, elegance in each step. She moved up and turned towards the palace and placed her hands behind her.
She said,
"I, will reign over this kingdom as the Queen until my last breath."
The priest chanted a few Sanskrit words and put a tilak on on her forehead. He was shivering a little but still continued the chants, getting the shocks of life even at this old age.Everyone could do nothing but put flowers at the Queen, astonished. She sat down on the throne, decorated with beautiful patterns and gems.
From this point on no one could believe what was happening anymore. The commotion that filled the people's minds had now come escaped and reached the palace. All of them whispered within themselves,
"A women, leading men?""How will she?"
"What about the honor of us men?"
The Prince's looked down, as if they were ashamed.
Even at this point, no one dared to speak directly to the Queen.Nishant spoke up,
"Your highness, you can't do this! A women-..."
She raised her right hand. The hand that was a few meters away from Nishant made him feel a cold wave of fear that was causing chaos deep inside his mind. He didn't dare to speak another word because his words were lost somewhere, inside his throat. She stood up, and said,
"I stopped you, because the person who tries to utter a word against my decision-..."
(She sharpens her eyes)
"WILL BE BANISHED FROM THIS KINGDOM."Her tone was calm, but the words hit everyone like a storm.
The silence came rushing back, as not anyone could afford to leave their beloved kingdom. She then took a pledge,
"I promise that from now onwards, I'm going to give my everyday to the betterment of the kingdom. Oh, not a kingdom, now, it's a QUEENDOM. I will make it a better place for everybody to stay.
Also, I'm not going to bow down in front of anyone, in any circumstances, I'd never give up on this Queendom.
I, WON'T, bow down to anyone other than,
(Joins hands)
God.
Dismiss."It was more like a threatening tone than a pledge. But now that she mentioned that she would work for the betterment of the Queendom, few of them were relieved, thinking that she could atleast be approachable and kind towards the Queendom.
Everybody began to leave the court.
She announced,
"Nishant will be waiting back."He stopped. He came back, bowed down for a few seconds and got back up to see the Queen sitting back on the throne.
The Queen asked,
"You've found them, right?
Those two strangers.""I greatly apologize, your honour, but the search is still ongoing."
"You lie good. You've been tied, right? Probably by some family member or a promise. I know your shortcomings."
Nishant didn't have a reply. She looked at a servant and said,
"Oh, bring those."
The servant instantly came with a metal plate. A few chits were kept over it.She said,
"There are many people who are coming with the complaint that they are getting some chits, on which some letters are inscribed. Investigate this case instead."She showed him a chit, which has some weird drawings.
"Is it confirmed that it isn't a drawing, your honour?""Yes it is. They all are written in lines, like a script.
Ask the strangers if it could be their language.
According to what I have suspected, they don't seem to have killed the King. But, they are connected with the King's assassination. And I can't let my guard down."This is what happened, the story that Nishant told us. He showed us the chit.
I thought,
'If she wants to capture us for the murder of the king, then why is she asking us to decipher the chit? We can fake anything. And she will believe it? I don't think a lady who can take such decisions will do something like this...'Sahil took the chit, and opened it. I was peeping in it. He looked alert. He took a deep breath, and opened it carefully. We saw the curvy script inscribed. Smoothly written with a beautiful handwriting. The smooth lines and yellow parchment of the paper. The script was none other than English.
My heart raced but I was forced to keep my eyes from widening and my breathes pacing up.
Sahil looked puzzled, but he had to maintain a poker face. No one should know about our originality. I gazed at him, and understood that his so called, 'wild guess' had come true. It was a small letter.
But who will pass letters in English here? Obviously, it wasn't the British rule, nor it has already become. The people weren't exposed to English-speaking people. How was this happening? The letter read like this,"Suzanne, Sahil, right? I am from your tribe, 'human' tribe. I've been serching you from so long. I thought you are in this Queendom so I am giving this to all people here. Obviously only you can understand :)
So, now to the point. I want to meet you. At the Queen's palace. Tomorrow, morning. I will be there, but you will not be able to see me. You will speak to the Queen, and I will be listening.
And if you don't wish to follow my orders, then I'll give you an information,
You are come through the teleport, I'll tell you the way out of this.
I have the gun.
Yours,
The third stranger."Sahil whispered,
"So it's true."My head gently leaned over to Sahil's shoulder, my face showing a mix of frustration and fear.
•••••
The third stranger is back...
He has the gun, and it's confirmed~God, what should I do?
So that's all for today folks!
Next chapter releases on Friday, until then,
Stay tuned! 😊💖
