Sahil was blushing? I didn't remember in embarrassment but I was surely blushing, giggling imagining what my devilish thoughts showed and how it contrasted with reality. Till then, we heard a voice saying,
"It was all a play! Everything was a play!"

My body turned back, and my eyes found something I didn't believe much.
A parrot.

She was a talking parrot. Vivid green colours all over her feathers, cherry red little eye. Her tail in vibrant shades of red, olive green and bluish-black. Curiosity governed my mind. Excitement swimming in my blood. I went to her, excited, and asked,
"What else can you say?"

She replied,
"Don't think of me as a parrot! I can talk in all the languages used on this land! That is, Hindi!"
I giggled at the little joke coming from the beautiful green parrot.

Sahil spoke mockingly,
"You are a parrot. Obviously you'll be called a parrot only."

I told Sahil,
"Why are you so rude? It's just a parrot. Stop bullying it."

Sahil's eyes showed a mix of confusion and frustration,
"What was like bullying in this statement what I just said. Literally?!"

The parrot continued,
"Don't think of me as a joke! I know this whole play of you being caught by the Queen!"

The expressions on our faces changed. A silence of 5 seconds and the wind passing by. I told her,
"Please tell us whatever you know about this!"

She began,
"You had to paas a test when you reached there right? You thought the test had finished when this arrogant boy caught the arrow. In that test, there was actually no chance of you being saved from the death sentence. If the arrow hit you, you would be wounded or dead. And if you stopped it, that meant that you had fighting skills. And death sentence would be given for it.
The next phase of the test made you feel that you have no chance for any escape. She wanted to see how you act when you have no chance of escape. If you had tried to escape at that time, she wouldn't have taken back the death sentence. Only a true criminal has faced such situations and would act readily.
A normal civilian would be terrified by the horrible sentence and would shiver, just like the girl. The boy sensed consciousness and his responsibility of the girl came to his mind due to which he started thinking of ways out. You didn't do anything and that is why you were saved. The granary was not on fire, too. Why would a soldier give a wrong information?
So, the Queens attention went to the soldiers for the murder. These are the two reasons of you being saved. And the 'third stranger' was, according to me, near the shooter. I really don't understand why is he called third stranger..."

The parrot finished the story.
I said,
"Oh my God! You really figured that much out! I agree with you, but not with one statement of yours. I'm the one trapped in this situation. Sahil won't think of me like a responsibility."

Sahil said,
"You are, my responsibility."

My heart skipped a beat. Goosebumps spead throughout my body as his beautiful words reverberated in my mind. The wind blew slowly, as my hair formed curvy lines on my face. My heart fluttered.

I mean, the Sun could rise from the west but Sahil saying something like this was not possible.

Sahil continued,
"We are time-..."

I kept my hand on his mouth this time. He looked at me for a few seconds. Understanding his eyes was a complex math sum at that moment!
Suddenly, I felt warmth on my hands. He was red, a cherry, a ripe apple, a red strawberry, a tomato, or any redder fruit that exists on this planet.

An evil plan rushed into my head.

My other palm wrapped behind his neck, pulling his face closer to mine. My smirk teased his shaded face.
My gaze turned into puppy eyes, acting innocent. My face went more closer to his neck. I spoke in a low voice,
"Oh no. Your fever is getting too high, isn't it? You need medicines~"

He gasped, as he felt my hot breath brushing over his neck. My hand, that was wrapped behind his neck, felt the goosebumps that spread through his body. I heard his heartbeat getting louder. Even though I was the teasing one, my heartbeat was the same as his.
He said, stuttering,
"P-... Please, leave my n-... neck. It's... Tickling me..."

The parrot spoke up,
"Oh, I didn't know you were soulmates."

I brought my hands to myself, surprised by her behaviour. We both said together,
"We're not!"

He took a deep breath, trying to forget what just happened, and said,
"Suzanne, let me just inform it to her, please. (I nodded)
We are time travellers, come from the future. We are the first two strangers in this kingdom. The third stranger is a time traveller. But for this information, you have to vow for the most precious thing in this world and promise not to tell this to anyone."

The parrot said,
"Oh! So I selected the correct people to share my knowledge!
Taking my precious voice as a witness, I vow not to spread this information to any creature, living or non living!"

I made a new friend today in the Queendom. Which was not human, but was better than a human. I was happy.
I asked Sahil why did he tell the parrot about our identities. He told me,
"The parrot was observant, but not smart. Or it would have realized that the 2 strangers were us beforehand.
Also, it can fly anywhere and gain information about the things going on in the court. We can't completely depend on Nishant for it. Because even if he was a friend, at the end he had to inform everything truthfully and follow the Queen's orders."

We came home. Nishant reminded us,
"You have to leave the Queendom in 7 days right?"

Sheetal dropped a plate from her hand...
