"Kiki, you're a really great actor. Not right now, though."

My alarm blares loudly, as I groggily rub my eyes open. I look at the time: 5:30am. I groan and pick up my phone. A text lights up, from Isaac.

Isaac

Isaac
Good morning, beautiful. What time
are you filming today?

I quickly get out of bed to take a fast cold shower to wake me up. I didn't worry about my hair or makeup this morning, since I would get that done for me at the set. I throw on some comfy clothes and leave my room.

I step into the elevator and press the lobby button. It starts going down, but it suddenly stops abruptly. I wait a few moments before pressing the lobby button again, however it still doesn't move.

Did it just break? I have to leave now for filming.

I press a couple of the other buttons, but nothing happens. I press the emergency button, and, once again, nothing happens. It doesn't light up or anything.

Well this is ridiculous.

I take out my phone and text Isaac that the elevator stopped, and I don't think the emergency button is working. He reads it quickly and texts back. He says that he'll talk to the front desk.

What a wonderful way to start today I think. I lean against the elevator railing in the corner, waiting for something to happen. A few minutes later the elevator suddenly starts moving again, as if nothing happened. All the buttons light up again.

It reaches the lobby and opens. The first thing I see is Isaac standing right there. He has a small bag in his hand.

"You all good?" He asks me.

"Yeah, thanks to you," I chuckle while walking out of the elevator. I look down at the bag. "What's that?"

He looks down too. "Oh, yeah. I got these for you." He hands the bag to me and I look inside. It's a small box of pastries.

I take out the adorable light pink box, and inside I see 4 small dough balls, covered in white flakes. I've seen something like these before, but not exactly. They look delicious.

"What are these?" I ask Isaac.

"They're called bollas. I was driving past a small bakery and decided to stop inside. I saw these and bought them. I was thinking that you might want to eat something before filming," Isaac explains. I can't help but smile at this act of kindness.

"Aww, thank you! These certainly look tasty," I smile. A question comes to mind. "But what are you doing up so early?"

"I have a school project about an hour away from here, so I have to leave early. I wanted to see you before I left."
