It's been a week since that night and Amelia couldn't make herself feel normal and get close to Siddarth.
Nobody seems to notice the change in her behaviour. Even Siddarth, he was busy in his lost world, daydreaming about Kiara and him.
He didn't seem affected by Amelia's distance from him. Rather he was not bothered about it.
Which was making Amelia more upset. She loves him. She wanted him to come to her and ask her what's wrong, why is she so quiet.
She was expecting him to make efforts to brighten up her mood, to make her happy. But expectations always kill people and their feelings.
The only person who noticed the change in her behaviour was Nathan. He tried to ask her what's wrong. But Nathan wasn't the person Amelia wanted to console her. So despite dying to share her feelings she didn't tell him.
Whereas Kiara, she was baffled with the new arising feelings her heart for Nathan. She couldn't understand what was happening with her. Everytime Nathan was with her she would continuously blush.

"Nathan have you noticed Kiara's red cheek everytime she's near you?" Mrs. Mehra whispered to Nathan while dipping her biscuit in chai.
Whispering because Kiara was in the kitchen, preparing herself a cold coffee.
"Really?" Nathan choked on his biscuit and stared at Mrs. Mehra with wide eyes.
"Tsk! Shh! Lower your voice!" Mrs. Mehra whisper-yelled and smiled at Nathan.
Who seemed to be on the ninth cloud.
"Oh My God!" He squealed like a highschool girl.
"What happened?" Kiara called out when she heard Nathan squeal.
"Nothing! He is going crazy!" Mrs. Mehra screamed.

"Come with me. I need to talk to you." Amelia grabbed Siddarth's hand and pulled him into their room.
"Aree what are you doing-"
"Haven't you noticed anything Sidd?" Amelia crossed her arms against her chest and looked at him with upset eyes.
"What do you mean Em?" He asked casually.
"Are you serious?"
"What?" Siddarth looked at her.
Tears welled up in Amelia's eyes.
Is he being serious? How can he be so nonchalant about it?
"Will you tell me or do you plan to keep staring at me?"
Amelia just stood still and stared at him with teary eyes in disbelief.
"You know what? I don't have time for this nonsense. When you actually want to tell me what's wrong you know where to find me."
And he left without looking back at Amelia.
Amelia stood back in tears while looking at Siddarth, who was walking away. But did she feel like he was walking away from her, from their relationship, and from the love they share?
Was this her karma? Her karma for coming in between Kiara and Siddarth? But when did she come in between? If it was Siddarth who fell for her first, then why was she being punished?
"Why me?" She whispered hoarsely and wiped the tears on her cheeks from the back of her hand.
She quickly picked up her phone and dialed his number. The one who was still thinking about her even after everything she did with him.
"Hello? Nathan." Her voice cracked as she opened her mouth to ask him to give her his shoulder to cry on after everything she had done to him.
"Amelia? Are you okay?" Nathan questioned from the other end of the call. Amelia couldn't hold it back anymore, and she broke into fits of sobs.
"Em, Em, what's wrong?"
“Can you meet me at the park?” Amelia whispered softly. She was feeling bad, she was using him for her own good, when she needed someone to be by her side, Nathan was the only one who was beside her, to give her support.
“Send me the location and I'll be there.”
“Okay. I'm sending it.” Amelia answered and hung up. She sniffled and sent the location to Nathan.
Nathan was very worried. He was aware that Amelia always needs someone to rely on in the weak moments, where her mental health is at the stake. So without giving further thoughts about it he decided to be there for her and comfort her. He was aware how to soothe and make her comfortable.
Soon enough Nathan received the address, he picked up his wallet and left the house.
“Where are you going Nathan?” Mrs. Mehra asked, quite concerned as he was looking very disturbed and stressed.
“I'll be back soon maa.” He answered and closed the door behind him.

Amelia wiped her face from the towel and stared at herself in the mirror. It was the first time she was crying because of Siddarth.
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything she dreamt of felt like it was all disappearing.
“Am I overreacting?” She asked herself. It was bothering her again and again. She was feeling very insecure and jealous, so jealous that she ignored Kiara when Kiara tried to talk to her.
And she was feeling bad for ignoring Kiara. What was her fault in all of this? But again Amelia was not that fault either yet she was suffering.
Amelia took a deep breath and patted on her cheeks to gain some colour on her face and stepped outside of the bathroom.
“Were you crying?” Sidharth questioned when she stepped outside and he saw her swollen eyes and red nose.
“No.” Amelia answered without looking in his direction and removed her bag from the cupboard.
Why was he questioning her when he didn't care enough to listen to her when she tried to talk to him?
“Baby I can see you were crying. What's wrong?” He cupped her cheeks and looked into her red and glossy eyes.
“Nothing. I was just missing mom.” She lied and averted her eyes from his face.
“I need to go somewhere. Don't wait for me. I'll probably be late.” She moved away from his reach and started walking towards the door.
“But where are you going?” Sidharth asked with a frown.
“Going with Kiara.” She lied again and left without looking back.
Never did she think that she would lie to him, to her Sidharth, but God had some other plans for them. She lied to him not only once, but twice just in a day. And God knows how many times she had lied to him when she said that she's fine even when she wasn't.
